I had it all planned out, what background and what plate, and the images I wanted.<br />A couple of years ago the stunning Dulce aka Bunny Nails did a mani with bunnies playing around under a cherry blossom tree on a pink base. But I wanted to do a mani with this look with the bunnies playing on a green field on a sunny day. And I knew two of the Sunshine & Rainbows collection polishes would be perfect as the background base for this mani. I even used the same plate for the bunnies as Dulce did, one of her own amazing plates Bunny Nails HD-B. This image plate has some Easter images, St. Patrick's Day images, birthday images and some Valentine's Day images. And if you haven't tried Bunny Nails plates, they are amazing.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TRkilkQoPv0/VRJhoTW2FAI/AAAAAAAAAp8/wRmfMDIn-EE/s1600/521954_241484259324042_948345108_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TRkilkQoPv0/VRJhoTW2FAI/AAAAAAAAAp8/wRmfMDIn-EE/s1600/521954_241484259324042_948345108_n.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My inspiration from the very talented Dulce aka Bunny Nails.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><u>Products I used for this mani:</u></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Pro FX Fiberized ridge filler base coat</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Sinful Colors Snow Me White</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Mr Blue Sky and Springtime Carpet from 10.1 Polish</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Bunny Nails HD-B plate</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Candy head stamper heads from Marianne Nails</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Fab Ur Nails Marshmallow stamper head</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">DIY stamper handle</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Graftobian makeup latex in red</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">DRK Nails stamping polish in White</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Dashica stamping polish in Emerald Green/Dark Green and Brown</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Dotting tool</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Glisten & Glow HK topcoat</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Bliss Kiss cuticle oil</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> <iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/pU1p6XdjrLc/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/pU1p6XdjrLc?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">youtube tutorial</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">When I was done stamping the bunnies and grass, I thought adding the cherry blossom branches and flowers would overcrowd my mani. But still decided to share the mani and do the tutorial to show the Bunny Nails plate and the 10.1 polishes.</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So I uploaded my picture to instagram and couple of friends (Gwen & Kelly) pointed out it reminded them of a mani done by another nail friend of mine, Diana. And you know what, I have admired Diana's work for so long. So I looked at it again, and liked my mani again. Why? Because I felt like when my friends told me that my mani reminded them of one of Diana's that was a huge compliment. Diana always creates these amazing looking manis and she inspires a lot of people around the world. Not just little old me.... I will just continue to wish I had wider nail beds so I could do more on my nails without it making my nails look overcrowded..... And do my best to do nail art.</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-O9Y2s0nnznU/VRJlWNSl8PI/AAAAAAAAAqI/hn73tWCUsWE/s1600/1520761_646586965421555_8284243420749700352_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-O9Y2s0nnznU/VRJlWNSl8PI/AAAAAAAAAqI/hn73tWCUsWE/s1600/1520761_646586965421555_8284243420749700352_n.jpg" height="326" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Diana's amazing story telling mani.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DGDFTT195Kk/VRJmOnz-5NI/AAAAAAAAAqQ/VCB8obCxLTY/s1600/11083667_10153026218467107_4495059236458665442_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DGDFTT195Kk/VRJmOnz-5NI/AAAAAAAAAqQ/VCB8obCxLTY/s1600/11083667_10153026218467107_4495059236458665442_n.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My playful Easter bunny mani....</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> So simple looking compared to Dulce's and Diana's, but I still like it now.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vqbTjDssjVg/VRJmOlfTvEI/AAAAAAAAAqU/iowjE3iTBgQ/s1600/11091244_10153026219177107_690984377838192383_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vqbTjDssjVg/VRJmOlfTvEI/AAAAAAAAAqU/iowjE3iTBgQ/s1600/11091244_10153026219177107_690984377838192383_n.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Special thanks to:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Dulce/Bunny Nails for her amazing plate and being such an inspiration to others with her nail art. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Kelly the amazing friend and lady behind the 10.1 Polishes</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Diana van Nisselroy for all the inspiration to others with her amazing talent for nail art.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Gwen for being such and amazing friend, thanks again for all of the goodies you sent me.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Love ya, girls.</div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-83217012737505553612015-03-16T23:04:00.001-07:002015-03-25T01:30:59.499-07:00Sunshine And RainbowsI have to say I feel really blessed that I get asked to review image plates or nail polishes. It's only been a year since I first was sent image plates to review. And I haven't been sent as many products as other nail bloggers or nail youtube gurus, but each time I feel so humble and honored that they consider my reviews to be valid. Why? Because the nail art community is so BIG, and my youtube, facebook or instagram followers numbers aren't that high.<br />But still I know my youtube channel, instagram, facebook or blog wouldn't be what it is today if it weren't for my kind hearted partners that consider my reviews to be good enough for their products.<br /><br />So when Kelly asked if I wanted to do a review of her Spring/Easter collection I again felt so humbled and honored. And I got them last week, I just had to finish the swatching of the Nail Hoot Lacquers swatches.<br />I have known about this collection from Kelly for a while, she spilled the beans for me a few weeks back. And I was so exited and have been waiting like crazy to get my hands on these. And why is that you ask? Because not only did she release a collection of pastels, but she added a twist to this collection. Each polish has a stunning metallic shimmer to them, and when the light hits your nails you can see the effect really well. I went to Walmart the other day with 2 of the colors on my nails, and I got a few compliments on the colors.<br /><br />10.1 Polishes are five-free polishes, they apply really nice and dry pretty fast. And Kelly is a sweetheart, always a bonus.<br /><br />Thank you so much, Kelly for the honor to review your nail polishes. I feel so blessed an humbled to call you as a friend. I love ya, girl.<br /><br />This collection by <a href="http://www.101polish.me/">10.1 Polish</a> is called Sunshine and Rainbows, lol sounds like an episode of My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic. But who cares, I don't because we love MLPFIM in this household.<br />You can find 10.1 Polish on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/skperfectpolish?fref=ts">facebook</a>.<br /><br />Anyhow back to the topic.....<br />So in this collection there are 6 colors, you can buy them individually. All in very light Spring colors, the only one that isn't a true pastel color is Morning Sunshine. It's a bit too bright to be a pastel, it's still a pretty yellow for Spring season. Also because my skin tone is medium olive, I needed 3 coats on most of these shades. When I applied 2 coats you could still see the smile line on my nails. If your skin tone is lighter than mine 2 coats may be enough for you.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/l4UE2edsvcc/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/l4UE2edsvcc?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div><div style="text-align: center;"> youtube video of this collection.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><u>Mr Blue Sky</u></b> is a pastel sky blue color, and you can see the shimmering metallic effect really well in this one. I applied 3 coats over my base coat. I also tested something on my thumbnail over this and Sugar Kisses, I applied 2 coats of Orly's Shine On Crazy Diamond to see if the effect from 10.1 polish would fade. And let me tell you, it didn't If you see in the video when I show close-up of Mr Blue Sky and Sugar Kisses you can see the glitter from the Orly polish. And you can see that metallic shimmer effect in the 10.1 polishes shine through that Orly polish. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OnSHx5JL-4g/VQe76CGZrkI/AAAAAAAAAoo/cHZHUR40wAs/s1600/PicsArt_1426292250417.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OnSHx5JL-4g/VQe76CGZrkI/AAAAAAAAAoo/cHZHUR40wAs/s1600/PicsArt_1426292250417.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><br /><b><u>Sugar Kisses</u></b> this pastel bubble gum pink is just so pretty. I am not really a pink girl I am very picky about my pink colors, but I like this one. I did 2 coats and again you can see the metallic shimmer effect really well in this one.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-prmrQ17EUeQ/VQe76ELl8CI/AAAAAAAAAow/0XmsrlEd43w/s1600/PicsArt_1426292382525.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-prmrQ17EUeQ/VQe76ELl8CI/AAAAAAAAAow/0XmsrlEd43w/s1600/PicsArt_1426292382525.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><br /><br /><br /><b><u>Lilac Fields</u></b> this pastel lilac color is really pretty, the metallic shimmer gets a bit washed out in this one compared to Sugar Kisses and Mr Blue Sky. But you can still see it, it's not like you need a magnifying glass to see it.... LOL... I did 2 coats of this one.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Oeate1awA9s/VQe76aI3DJI/AAAAAAAAAos/E6kAaYkCDt4/s1600/PicsArt_1426293948408.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Oeate1awA9s/VQe76aI3DJI/AAAAAAAAAos/E6kAaYkCDt4/s1600/PicsArt_1426293948408.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><br /><br /><br /><b><u>Morning Sunshine</u></b> this isn't a true pastel yellow, it's a bit too bright for that. But it's still a pretty yellow color. Compared to my China Glaze Sunshine Pop that I don't like on my nails at all. I do not mind this one at all, even tho they are quite similar. Why? Because of the metallic shimmer effect, I just like what it does to the color. I did 3 coats of this on my nails.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-K_ln2TACMgc/VQe7624EWAI/AAAAAAAAAo8/B8X6CXfcLIE/s1600/PicsArt_1426294258359.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-K_ln2TACMgc/VQe7624EWAI/AAAAAAAAAo8/B8X6CXfcLIE/s1600/PicsArt_1426294258359.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><u>Springtime Carpet,</u></b> this pastel green is just stunning, I loved it right away when I saw it. As with pinks I am very picky with my greens as well. I got compliments on this one and Sweet Sherbet when I went to Walmart the other day, yes I was wearing one color on each hand. I did 3 coats of this on my nails.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KbLaTz-HTsw/VQe77bjczFI/AAAAAAAAApA/LDTYgUrjO98/s1600/PicsArt_1426492978129.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KbLaTz-HTsw/VQe77bjczFI/AAAAAAAAApA/LDTYgUrjO98/s1600/PicsArt_1426492978129.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><b><u>Sweet Sherbet</u></b> this is my favorite in the collection, it got my attention as soon as I pulled it out of the box. It looks a bit washed out on the picture and in the video. I will be wearing this color quite a bit this spring. I did 3 coats on my nails.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7BYD9zeBMYo/VQe77hkG0vI/AAAAAAAAApI/sXd2DSW7eZg/s1600/PicsArt_1426493173175.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7BYD9zeBMYo/VQe77hkG0vI/AAAAAAAAApI/sXd2DSW7eZg/s1600/PicsArt_1426493173175.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">On other note, my family got 2 new members added to it. 2 little girl guinea pigs. Floppy (her ears are folded over) and Fluffy, been spending a lot of time this last week to get them used to all of us and settled in. They've decided I must be their huge guinea pig mommy, because they go crazy when I hold them. Floppy is the most vocal one, she is loud when she goes nuts. She squeals very happily when I hold her or go near the cage. My 4 year old loves her Fluffy, my 8 year old who is autistic needs to be told to sit down and spend time with his Floppy. But so far so good, he thinks it's really funny when Floppy poops on him or me. Their cage is right behind me where I do my nails and record my videos so there will be times you can hear them in the videos..</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ovmrT4LWIOs/VQfB2_q-jUI/AAAAAAAAApg/gq9cxMhYVlg/s1600/11039700_10152985013737107_60919878137148659_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ovmrT4LWIOs/VQfB2_q-jUI/AAAAAAAAApg/gq9cxMhYVlg/s1600/11039700_10152985013737107_60919878137148659_n.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Left is Fluffy </div><div style="text-align: center;">Right is Floppy</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-91715456105904632722015-03-11T14:02:00.001-07:002015-03-11T14:19:10.651-07:00Hoot, Hoot, Hot, Hot Nail Hoot Lacquers<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gHVWZ5GNb7o/VQCkw1O654I/AAAAAAAAAnM/CHmpGrOiBTQ/s1600/PicsArt_1425850997463.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gHVWZ5GNb7o/VQCkw1O654I/AAAAAAAAAnM/CHmpGrOiBTQ/s1600/PicsArt_1425850997463.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div><br /><br />I have a friend on facebook Brandie. A very busy mom, her kids are so cute. Anyways, besides being a very busy mom she has started her own Indie nail polish brand. Nail Hoot Lacquers, these nail polishes are five-free.<br /><br />What is five-free nail polish??? Five-free nail polish: These polishes are not only made without the 3 common chemicals found in nail polishes: Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP) and Formaldehyde. But also without 2 other very dangerous chemicals Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor.<br /><br />Brandie was so kind to send me mini bottles of her whole collection, The Beginning. When I got them I was amazed by the adorable owl label. So cute. And she added a label with the names of the polishes, even tho they were mini bottles. She also included a sheet of paper with information about her polishes, names, descriptions and tips on how to apply them to get the most of the effect of each polish to stand out on the nails.<br />I have to say I am very impressed with how she's presenting her own polish line, no doubt a lot of love and care for her polishes and clients.<br /><br />This coming Saturday you can buy the polishes individually, right now you can buy the whole collection:<br />https://www.etsy.com/listing/223552683/nail-hoot-the-beginning-complete<br />And the facebook page:<br />https://www.facebook.com/pages/Nail-Hoot-Indie-Lacquers/791015887614468?fref=ts<br /><br />I decided to follow Brandie's tips for each color for the swatches.<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gHVWZ5GNb7o/VQCkw1O654I/AAAAAAAAAnM/CHmpGrOiBTQ/s1600/PicsArt_1425850997463.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gHVWZ5GNb7o/VQCkw1O654I/AAAAAAAAAnM/CHmpGrOiBTQ/s1600/PicsArt_1425850997463.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Look at the cute owl label.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WbBwXYutwDU/VQCk3Wv_P2I/AAAAAAAAAnU/P_z8rQG1GBs/s1600/PicsArt_1425851055818.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WbBwXYutwDU/VQCk3Wv_P2I/AAAAAAAAAnU/P_z8rQG1GBs/s1600/PicsArt_1425851055818.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">How each color look in the bottle.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div> <iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/c_aUO6kCfxY/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/c_aUO6kCfxY?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">youtube video.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The whole collection is amazing, each color changes depending how the light hits your nails. And they all have some glitter or special effect pigment mixed into them. All of these polishes applied like a dream, didn't matter if they were applied over a white base or just basecoat. And they dried pretty fast too. I also applied my HK Girl fast drying topcoat. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Let's start with the swatches and my thought of each color.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b><u>Exodus</u></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This bright golden apple green color looked very plain in the preview picture. But when I got it, I saw the light gold sheen. The gold is super fine, looks more like a light gold pigment that makes the apple green color POP. I applied 3 coats of this over White base, just like Brandie suggested. I don't have anything like this in my polish collection. But this color is perfect for the upcoming Spring season.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pOk4r1-yYlU/VQClLKwuGHI/AAAAAAAAAng/5mZUaHKAy5o/s1600/PicsArt_1425850484111.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pOk4r1-yYlU/VQClLKwuGHI/AAAAAAAAAng/5mZUaHKAy5o/s1600/PicsArt_1425850484111.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Exodus</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b><u>Numbers</u></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This Barbie pink color was the last color she added to her collection, when I saw her picture I thought it looked OK. But this color has a pearl like shine to it and depending on how the lights hit your nail you can get some sparkle, but that is very faint. I did 3 coats over White base.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div> <a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-a4169_Ewh3w/VQClLBxZdzI/AAAAAAAAAnc/f0ICPdRudxs/s1600/PicsArt_1425850904081.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-a4169_Ewh3w/VQClLBxZdzI/AAAAAAAAAnc/f0ICPdRudxs/s1600/PicsArt_1425850904081.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;">Numbers</div><br /><br /><br /><b><u>Leviticus</u></b><br />Now this was the color that made my jaw drop to the floor when I saw Brandie's picture. This glittery orange color is AMAZING. Yes, there are fine holographic glitter mixed into it, but the color goes from orange-red-pink all depending on the light hitting your nails. This is just so stunning to look at, but oh my was it hard to film and take pictures of. I was trying my best to get pictures and recordings showing that amazing color effect. I applied 3 coats over White.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Bc4gmWpuqN0/VQClNWi9mlI/AAAAAAAAAnw/0ZHRC-N134k/s1600/PicsArt_1426061061716.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Bc4gmWpuqN0/VQClNWi9mlI/AAAAAAAAAnw/0ZHRC-N134k/s1600/PicsArt_1426061061716.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Leviticus</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5-MsaTXe4lU/VQClNMFhahI/AAAAAAAAAn0/NsdcpOxp5Ec/s1600/PicsArt_1426061234206.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5-MsaTXe4lU/VQClNMFhahI/AAAAAAAAAn0/NsdcpOxp5Ec/s1600/PicsArt_1426061234206.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Leviticus </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><b><u>Deuteronomy</u></b><br />This purple is so pretty, I love purples. And this one also has fine holographic glitter mixed into it. And depending on how the light hits your nails goes from purple to dark blue. Also hard to get a good picture of, but darn pretty to look at. Applied 2 coats over base coat.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4TDgpf3bgDc/VQClNC2_h_I/AAAAAAAAAns/Smuu-n54Nuk/s1600/PicsArt_1426061359023.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4TDgpf3bgDc/VQClNC2_h_I/AAAAAAAAAns/Smuu-n54Nuk/s1600/PicsArt_1426061359023.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: start;">Deuteronomy </span></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-T_q3Z5pi0iA/VQClN3ZogeI/AAAAAAAAAn4/p-JPDCi1fTU/s1600/PicsArt_1426061506528.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-T_q3Z5pi0iA/VQClN3ZogeI/AAAAAAAAAn4/p-JPDCi1fTU/s1600/PicsArt_1426061506528.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: start;">Deuteronomy </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: start;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: start;"><br /></span></div><b><u> Genesis</u></b><br />This midnight blue shade has holographic glitter mixed into it, but it has a green tint to it. So depending on how the light hits your nail it can go from the blue to a faint dark teal like color. I applied 3 coats over base coat.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mQ6IdDgAv9o/VQClOUmR9fI/AAAAAAAAAoM/fBgTMs9vuc4/s1600/PicsArt_1426061650878.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mQ6IdDgAv9o/VQClOUmR9fI/AAAAAAAAAoM/fBgTMs9vuc4/s1600/PicsArt_1426061650878.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> Genesis</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-22gWTyCwSxA/VQClOsZVhrI/AAAAAAAAAoE/haWv8bUB68s/s1600/PicsArt_1426061823440.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-22gWTyCwSxA/VQClOsZVhrI/AAAAAAAAAoE/haWv8bUB68s/s1600/PicsArt_1426061823440.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Genesis</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">All in all I am very happy with this collection. I like all the colors, but Genesis, Deuteronomy and Leviticus are no doubt my favorites. I hope I can buy full size bottles of at least these three. I also like Exodus, my least favorite is Numbers. It's pretty but didn't give me the WOW factor as much as the other 4. I can not wait to see what Brandie comes up with next. I am sure it's going to be awesome.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">To Brandie:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I hope little Dexter gets better soon, double ear infections for small babies.... So stamp the nails like a Jamberry nail design, or any other nail wrap brand design.<br /><br />I knew what image I wanted to do, and what plate brand. I just had to find the plate in my Dashica/Infinity Nails stash. I found the image on Dashica's Dash 15. The reason why I picked this image for this challenge, is because there is another similar image on the Dash plate that can be used as an accent nail. And that is what I wanted to do. So right there was point 1 why I think stamping is better than Jamberry,<br /><br />Point 2, you can choose what ever base color and stamping color/colors you want for your design.<br /><br />Point 3. If you're like my, my manis won't last me more than a couple of days at the most. So Jamberry and other nail wraps is a waste on my nails.<br /><br />Point 4. I can get a few plates for the same price as 2 sheets of Jamberry nails, and I can do so much more with them, and you can use them over and over again.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/F5Y7_hzM1qY/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/F5Y7_hzM1qY?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I painted my nails with OPI Party In My Cabana, pulled out my DRK Nails stamping polish in White and my Dashica Dash 15 plate. Stamped and sealed in the image with HK Girl by Glisten & Glow.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TQHePCNW728/VPYuocReNoI/AAAAAAAAAmo/PcD9Hqkl1a8/s1600/BetterthanJamberry.jpg.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TQHePCNW728/VPYuocReNoI/AAAAAAAAAmo/PcD9Hqkl1a8/s1600/BetterthanJamberry.jpg.jpg" height="200" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The Jamberry Nail design and my version of it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I am not saying nail wraps are bad, I have used some a few times. But again, I got tired of my nails after a couple of days and removed them. So again, not the thing for me. I have a couple of sheets of wraps left and I have them ready for those days my nails are naked and I don't have the time to do my nails if I go some place. As for Jamberry, I think they're overpriced. You can find cheaper nail wraps out there in stores or on ebay, aliexpress, banggood etc.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-37095533191404416722015-02-17T00:10:00.001-08:002015-02-17T00:10:13.436-08:00Practice, Practice, Practice.I first got into nail art in 2009, I was siting in an apartment in Long Beach watching youtube videos. And there was this video of a girl stamping Hello Kitty on her nails, that is how my stamping journey started. But it didn't end there later in 2010 I stumbled over another youtube video, of this nail tech doing stunning onestroke flowers on nails. And my dream of becoming a nail tech one day was born, and my dream/goal of one day mastering the art of onestroke painting on nails had started. I started with just getting a few colors of acrylic paint and some brushes. I then realized it looks so much easier on youtube than it is real life.....<br />Also my never ending hunt for the perfect brush for my nails (so darn narrow) and with the correct softness in brush hairs for onestroke. I am still huntng for it.......<br />Needless to say a few years have gone by and I have practiced my painting skills and not shown any of my MANY failed tries. The worst have been getting the brush strokes to go all smooth and master all the different flower petal shapes. Then getting them small enough to fit on nails, they always ended up way too big on paper.<br /><br />Anyways I stayed up mostly all night last night and practiced again. And for the first time since 2010 I have decided to show what I did..... LOL<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lbx0zHkuRnA/VOJ4KOwPI7I/AAAAAAAAAmI/ZwL45BUXjBM/s1600/PicsArt_1424070421793.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lbx0zHkuRnA/VOJ4KOwPI7I/AAAAAAAAAmI/ZwL45BUXjBM/s1600/PicsArt_1424070421793.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I've only been able to do this size or even bigger ones.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8a8HmRskm9Q/VOJ4KBoSZ4I/AAAAAAAAAmA/6lwY6lTRnWY/s1600/PicsArt_1424074215141.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8a8HmRskm9Q/VOJ4KBoSZ4I/AAAAAAAAAmA/6lwY6lTRnWY/s1600/PicsArt_1424074215141.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Tried my best to make a smaller one...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lfv108XD8Hc/VOJ4KJ7SeFI/AAAAAAAAAmE/ReZgCpDJ8Kw/s1600/PicsArt_1424075970279.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lfv108XD8Hc/VOJ4KJ7SeFI/AAAAAAAAAmE/ReZgCpDJ8Kw/s1600/PicsArt_1424075970279.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">And one more even smaller than that, was tricky getting as many petals I wanted</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">and in the correct size.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CogjbS-gsUw/VOJ4Kx8hldI/AAAAAAAAAmM/624voylvaiY/s1600/11007597_10152946908622107_1849757573_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CogjbS-gsUw/VOJ4Kx8hldI/AAAAAAAAAmM/624voylvaiY/s1600/11007597_10152946908622107_1849757573_n.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Decided to try and paint on a long nail tip., this was my first time </div><div style="text-align: center;">painting on a false nail only done on paper until now.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Having carpal tunnel too, makes it harder to hold the paint brush and do the correct brush movements to make the petals. I need more practice before I can try and do this on my own nails. Don't ask how much time I spent painting these flowers on the paper and false nail. But I am not giving up, I will keep practicing. Hopefully it won't take too long for me to get better in doing onestroke. So for now you have to wait a bit longer for my tutorial of onestroke nailart.</div><br /><br /><br /><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-69987980549011191262015-02-14T14:19:00.002-08:002015-02-14T14:23:59.507-08:00Knock Out!!I had a good plan for last week, I had a freehand Valentine's Day Nail tutorial in mind. Monday night I pampered my nails, soaked them, oiled and lotioned, filed and buffed them. All ready for the next day to paint them and have some fun with some acrylic paints.<br />Tuesday I wake up with the worst cold/flu and I have been knocked out since. Tho last night I was tired and depressed looking at my nails for the 3rd day. So I decided to do something easy. I painted them 2 coats with Sinful Colors Snow Me White, then I grabbed 3 of the <a href="http://www.101polish.me/Love_Bites/cat2746780_2702413.aspx">Love Bites</a> Collection polishes from 10.1 Polish in; Green-Eyed Monster, Love Bites and Bruised Ego. And did a Distressed Nails look, meaning you wipe off most of the polish from the brush, and apply to your nail. Loos really cool if you do 2-4 colors. More than that I think it starts to look too busy. I applied my topcoat and decided I wanted some decorations too, so I grabbed some <a href="http://www.dollarnailart.com/cat_pages/studs.html">Geostuds</a> in Gold I got from dollarnailart and some crystals in <a href="http://www.banggood.com/1440Pcs-Deep-Purple-Crystal-Rhinestones-Nail-Art-Tips-Decoration-p-923540.html">Deep Purple</a> from banggood.com. And applied them with my Crystal Katana, the best tool to apply your nail decorations (not to be used with glitter).<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Rzp-5nBQqdc/VN_I2PiANwI/AAAAAAAAAlw/6ZVIX2NYStY/s1600/1797407_10152941105652107_1798962143857623349_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Rzp-5nBQqdc/VN_I2PiANwI/AAAAAAAAAlw/6ZVIX2NYStY/s1600/1797407_10152941105652107_1798962143857623349_n.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Final look.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So far kids are not sick, just husband, granny in-law and me. All 3 of us knocked out. Not been a fun week at all, that is for sure. Now, to make another cup of tea with honey and crawl back to bed. At least I managed to finish another Jo Nesbø book on audible, have 3 more to enjoy.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Thanks for stopping by.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-83270322881823480272015-02-10T03:45:00.001-08:002015-03-25T01:32:08.010-07:00My Valentine, Love Me Nails.Time for another Valentine's Day nail tutorial.<br />Been so busy making all the videos of the Marianne Nails plates I was sent, dealing with colds and stomach bugs But I wanted to do one more V-day nails, will try and see if I can get one more done. That is if my RL doesn't get in the way.<br /><br />For these nails I did my base coat, then one thin coat of Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter (830) and then did a gradient effect with Boundless Color Ruby Dust (425).<br />Then I grabbed my Bunny Nails HD-A, La Femme White and DRK Nails Black<br /><br />Once I was done stamping I did another thin coat of Ruby Dust to add some sparkle to the stamped images. Winter always makes me sad, so cold and dark. I have been busy making youtube videos of Marianne Nails image plates and stampers for the last few days. And even filmed a couple of quick tip videos I need to edit and upload. I needed a break from all the work, even tho it's fun work I needed a break. Because it takes time and it's a lot of work that goes behind each video. My nails looked like crap, so I decided to do my nails and do the AIS Sunday challenge at the same time. I looked at all of my new Marianne Nails plates, and let me tell you it wasn't easy to pick a plate or image. I decided on some flower nails, since it's so cold right now and I am longing for spring and summer. I haven't done a Leadlight tutorial yet, just played around with it on some swatch sticks the last few weeks since I got my first jelly polishes not too long ago. So I figured it was time these nails.... Leadlight technique is just stunning and the creator of Messy Mansion plates came up with the technique.<br /><br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/mnXrJDOmpdE/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/mnXrJDOmpdE?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/mnXrJDOmpdE?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><br /><br />So I used one of my new <a href="http://www.marianne-nails.com/">Marianne Nails</a> image plates n60 and stamped the image with <a href="http://www.drknails.com/product-p/lafemme012.htm">La Femme White.</a> Then I used my 2 favorite nail art brushes I got from Fab Ur Nails <a href="http://www.faburnails.com/Pure_color_detailing_br/p2796909_12413979.aspx">Pure Color 10</a> and <a href="http://www.faburnails.com/JUST_NAIL_DANCE_Brush/p2796909_12413981.aspx">Just Nails 24 Dance</a> to fill in <a href="http://www.101polish.me/Full_Moon/p2746779_13118361.aspx">10.1 Polish Full Moon</a> and <a href="http://www.101polish.me/Cherry_Blast/p2746779_12328851.aspx">10.1 Polish Cherry Blast</a> over the image. I love my 10.1 Polishes. They are so pretty and they dry so fast, and a big bonus that they are 5 free.<br /><br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QhD0JdCiX_M/VLOB1HqFnGI/AAAAAAAAAkE/4bn268f36U4/s1600/Snapshot%2B1%2B(1-11-2015%2B9-58%2BPM).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QhD0JdCiX_M/VLOB1HqFnGI/AAAAAAAAAkE/4bn268f36U4/s1600/Snapshot%2B1%2B(1-11-2015%2B9-58%2BPM).jpg" height="225" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pCSJaKwaFew/VLOB3ECjbnI/AAAAAAAAAkM/sRs8PPMAZc4/s1600/10523560_10152867670842107_6141145915677340332_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pCSJaKwaFew/VLOB3ECjbnI/AAAAAAAAAkM/sRs8PPMAZc4/s1600/10523560_10152867670842107_6141145915677340332_n.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div><br />And now I can't stop looking at my nails. I am really happy how these turned out. Now back to editing videos.<br /><br /><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-75662346383762575122015-01-08T14:34:00.001-08:002015-01-08T14:43:53.853-08:00Woohoo!!!! New Stampers From Marianne Nails.Happy New Year!!!<br /><br />First blog post of 2015 is a review of a stamper set and some replacement heads I got from Marianne Nails.<br />I was so lucky I got the most amazing nail mail from Marianne Nails. Thank you, dear Ghislaine for all the pretties. All these plates and then some stampers. One she wanted me to just try out and give feedback to her so she can decide if she wants to sell it or not. And then the XL stamper and the heads she wanted me to do a review of. When you go to <a href="http://www.marianne-nails.com/">Marianne Nails</a> it will be in French so click on the menu selection on the left and hit Accessoires Tampons et raclettes, that will take you to the stampers. When you order these you will get the full stamper set with stamper handle, 1 stamper head and 2 plastic scrapers. Inside the handle I got the pink, then the replacement heads I got was in Purple, Clear and Dark Grey. I didn't "prime" any of these stamper heads before I tested them out.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0iE8la-aLiI/VK8BLJE_9oI/AAAAAAAAAic/NE99erYsTC8/s1600/20150107_134138.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0iE8la-aLiI/VK8BLJE_9oI/AAAAAAAAAic/NE99erYsTC8/s1600/20150107_134138.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Marianne Nails nail mail.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-z-r6bt8clUA/VK8CdEycR3I/AAAAAAAAAio/uwasC0DyfuI/s1600/Snapshot%2B6%2B(1-8-2015%2B2-55%2BPM).png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-z-r6bt8clUA/VK8CdEycR3I/AAAAAAAAAio/uwasC0DyfuI/s1600/Snapshot%2B6%2B(1-8-2015%2B2-55%2BPM).png" height="225" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Full stamper set</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Bt4BSzJE6pI/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/Bt4BSzJE6pI?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/Bt4BSzJE6pI?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div style="text-align: center;">The test video.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-f7-YnuqiBBE/VK8CdEH58SI/AAAAAAAAAis/8EFKlBwvdQw/s1600/Snapshot%2B7%2B(1-8-2015%2B2-55%2BPM).png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-f7-YnuqiBBE/VK8CdEH58SI/AAAAAAAAAis/8EFKlBwvdQw/s1600/Snapshot%2B7%2B(1-8-2015%2B2-55%2BPM).png" height="225" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Fits really snug in the handle, doesn't fall out. My nails are so short, but still I wanted to do a tutorial on youtube.<br />And as I promised in the 10,1 Polish Review post I would do some nail art using those polishes.<br /><br />I wanted to do some Christmas sweater nails using Bunny Nails HD-I, it's such a pretty Christmas plate. I think she sold out of the plate, but will still add the link to her <a href="http://bunnynails.ecrater.com/c/1638963/hd-and-buna-series-nail-stamp">Bunny Nails</a> page. She has more awesome looking plates on there.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/v6FuLDXiV90/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/v6FuLDXiV90?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/v6FuLDXiV90?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">youtube tutorial.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>I used La Femme stamping polish in White and my <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1519777121611793/">Creative Shop Stamper</a>. I let the image be on the stamper to make a stamping decal. I decided to use two of the Icing polishes from 10.1 Polish in Kiwi Delight and Cherry Blast. I filled in areas of the image with the 2 colors, and let it dry for a few before adding another coat. Because the <a href="http://www.101polish.me/Icing/cat2746780_2425161.aspx">10.1 Polishes</a> are tints you only get a hint of color on the first coat. But the more coats you add, the color will become more vibrant. You just keep adding coats until you have the color effect you're after. Then when it's dry you apply topcoat and let it dry for a while. Then you gently peel it off your stamper, flip it over to the other side and let it rest on the stamper while you apply a clear nail polish or slow drying topcoat. Then you take the decal and place it onto your nail while the clear polish/topcoat is still wet, that will act as a glue. Gently tap the decal on your nail to straighten it out and make it even. Cut off pieces of the decal that is outside the outline of your nail. And apply your favorite topcoat to seal in the decal and give your nail a nice shine.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1pzTBMTcnLs/VJJqF2r28QI/AAAAAAAAAiM/6UhUFiGRMoU/s1600/PicsArt_1418857598861.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1pzTBMTcnLs/VJJqF2r28QI/AAAAAAAAAiM/6UhUFiGRMoU/s1600/PicsArt_1418857598861.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The left one is over a clear swatch stick, the right is over a white polished base.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hope you liked this one. I was finally able to make an order from <a href="http://www.101polish.me/">10.1 Polish</a>.<br />These polishes are made by a good friend of mine, Kelly. I love her to bits, she is an amazing woman that I have gotten so much support from over the last few months. Thank you, Kelly for your friendship. I love ya, girl.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/21Zow9S2hyE/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/21Zow9S2hyE?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/21Zow9S2hyE?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object><br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/skperfectpolish?ref=ts&fref=ts">10.1 Polish facebook</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>10.1 polishes are Five Free..... And what does that mean?? These polishes are not only made without the 3 common chemicals found in nail polishes: Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP) and Formaldehyde. But also without 2 other very dangerous chemicals Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor. So two thumbs up for that!!! So you can open these up and apply them to your nails without giving you and people around you a splitting headache.<br /><br />I ordered 3 of her Frosted Sheers polishes, her winter holiday collection. I picked Snow Caps, Full Moon and Reservation. These are sheer tints with holographic pigment added to them. You can see the holo affect well in Reservation and Full Moon, but Snow Caps is very faint and hard to see. But that is not Kelly's fault. She added as much pigment to Snow Caps as she did to the others. But white is known to "WASH OUT" the holo effect. And you can't keep adding SpectraFlair or other holo pigment to white, because it will turn it into grey. So it is VERY hard to make a good white holo polish. I have tried, because I have 2 grades of SpectraFlair (1 gr each). The best result I have with getting a white holo is, if I paint my nails with a normal white polish. And then apply a holo topcoat over.<br /><br />Kelly told me to pick 3 extra polishes that she wanted to add to my order as a gift and to review, so I picked Cherry Blast, Kiwi Delight and Plum-tastic. These are also jelly tint polishes, so they aren't made to be opaque in 1-2 coats. They will just do a faint jelly color on your nail. But you can add as many coats you want, and the color will become more vibrant.<br /><br />But most girls and guys I know who use tint polishes use it with their nail art. Stamping or free hand nail art. They apply the base color, then stamp or paint with white and then use the tints to color the white areas. And you get like a stained glass effect or jello color effect.<br /><br />10.1 polishes applies like a dream, I love the brush perfect for my narrow nail beds. They dry pretty fast, and because they are 5 free they won't give you a headache. The bottle is a 15 ml bottle, I know she just changed the bottle to a bigger size. Also a few weeks ago she changed the label. So they look very clean and pro like to me. There are so many other colors I want to order and add to my collection. But because they're Indie brand you have to pay a bit extra than your drugstore polishes.<br />So are they worth the prize?? I would say so.they apply like a dream, fast drying time very pretty colors and they're made with love by Kelly.<br /><br />I played around with the polishes after I was done recording the video. I will be doing a tutorial with these soon. But the pictures are below.<br /><br />But I want to say a super big THANK YOU to Kelly for sending me the extra gift. And for being such an amazing friend for the last few months. Thanks for all the support and the many phone calls. I love you, girl.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aNtaqZiPq2w/VJEuaed9QqI/AAAAAAAAAho/-Ji_1cgXX_U/s1600/1511708_10152797284412107_5940886866072975349_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aNtaqZiPq2w/VJEuaed9QqI/AAAAAAAAAho/-Ji_1cgXX_U/s1600/1511708_10152797284412107_5940886866072975349_n.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> Leadlight stamping</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QwrIdu8TpFc/VJEuaS-uzFI/AAAAAAAAAhk/TtCnyKx94NY/s1600/10540548_10152797284377107_445781485844086671_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QwrIdu8TpFc/VJEuaS-uzFI/AAAAAAAAAhk/TtCnyKx94NY/s1600/10540548_10152797284377107_445781485844086671_n.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> Leadlight stamping</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VWcXNSFpzfw/VJEubz4zYwI/AAAAAAAAAhw/hQuNhbHrxcc/s1600/10846480_10152797289312107_1925975019413466471_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VWcXNSFpzfw/VJEubz4zYwI/AAAAAAAAAhw/hQuNhbHrxcc/s1600/10846480_10152797289312107_1925975019413466471_n.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Freehand painted rose in white then used the tint to color.</div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-61222387549130064582014-11-08T14:55:00.003-08:002014-11-08T14:55:48.280-08:00Roses Are Red......I decided to do a non stamping mani for a change. I do them now and then. When I am bored I love to practice freehand nail art with my acrylic paints.<br />I wanted to do some with the brushes I got from BPS. So I painted my base with Sinful Colors Prosecco. Then applied a coat of topcoat then grabbed my brushes, my paints and some water.<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L97dc3C5rWM/VF6d2dGot4I/AAAAAAAAAhI/DONSebogZJ4/s1600/PicsArt_1415485652448.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L97dc3C5rWM/VF6d2dGot4I/AAAAAAAAAhI/DONSebogZJ4/s1600/PicsArt_1415485652448.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Right hand</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yUIZMNhYQK4/VF6d2fmMG9I/AAAAAAAAAhE/HGIK5k6a1kM/s1600/PicsArt_1415485731216.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yUIZMNhYQK4/VF6d2fmMG9I/AAAAAAAAAhE/HGIK5k6a1kM/s1600/PicsArt_1415485731216.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Left hand</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Prosecco is a very pretty Mauve color with fine gold glitter. I think it's one of my favorites this year for fall and winter. So glad I got 2 bottles of this at Rite Aid. I did 2 thin coats for my base for these nails. I wanted to do a darker green too, but I need to get more dark greens......</div><div style="text-align: left;">But still kinda happy with these.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Not nail related: we had a nice family day yesterday. A late lunch/dinner at Golden Corral, then we went to see Big Hero 6.</div><div style="text-align: left;">If you haven't seen it, it's super cute. The kids and I want a Baymax in our house...... And if you haven't seen it yet, don't leave as soon as the credits starts. There is an extra scene at the end you don't wanna miss. Nice day with the family is what I needed after the last few weeks stress and worries.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-38565548293516890272014-11-06T02:44:00.001-08:002014-11-06T02:44:09.700-08:00Nail Art Brush Review From Born Pretty StoreI am always on the hunt for THE perfect nail art brush, and I saw this instagram video of a girl using Chinese calligraphy brush for nail art. So I found one, thanks to someone on facebook who also was searching. I can't remember her name........... Sorry.....<br />Anyways she shared the link and it was from BPS, I have made a few orders from BPS.<br />This brush was super cheap, so just in case the quality of the brush was really bad I ordered 4. And I am so glad I did, because when I got them I saw they didn't have the same thickness. 2 of them had a nice thin tip that I was after, but the other 2 were a bit thicker.<br />If you haven't ordered from BPS before, it takes about 3 weeks to get your order. They have free shipping. You just have to wait a while to get your order. But there is a lot of cheap nail art on their site. Anyways back to the review, here is the <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/acrylic-nail-painting-brushes-small-brush-bamboo-p-20.html">nail art brush</a> I ordered (FOXW10 for 10% off your order). It's cheap, and it does shed hairs. It has happened to 3 of my 4 brushes.<br />But mine doesn't shed from the sides, the hairs get pulled out to the tip while you're working. So you'll see a hair or two longer than the brush tip. I use a pair of little nail scissors to cut the shedding hairs when I see them.<br /><br />The handle is made of bamboo, nice and thin and very light to hold. I have a good grip while working with this brush. I have only used acrylic paints with this brush, and I clean it with rubbing alcohol and water. Then I gently rub in some cuticle oil to keep the hairs nice and soft. There is a plastic protective cap to keep your brush in shape when not in use.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sfKh8OBeDj4/VFs7ptbAmNI/AAAAAAAAAgs/Hmgy4_A-Wh0/s1600/20141105_233330.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sfKh8OBeDj4/VFs7ptbAmNI/AAAAAAAAAgs/Hmgy4_A-Wh0/s1600/20141105_233330.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object width="320" height="266" class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/p4Sr6IIH4J4/0.jpg"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/p4Sr6IIH4J4?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/p4Sr6IIH4J4?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div style="text-align: center;"> youtube review of me blabbering away about this brush.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hhLEfWB98HM/VFs7sOQSN2I/AAAAAAAAAg0/Yzhk-PlzV-E/s1600/PicsArt_1415257189862.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hhLEfWB98HM/VFs7sOQSN2I/AAAAAAAAAg0/Yzhk-PlzV-E/s1600/PicsArt_1415257189862.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So can I recommend this brush?? It's cheap and works well, just be aware of the shedding and that the brush thickness or color may not be the same as the one they have in the picture on their site. So order a few like I did to have a better chance to get the brush thickness you're after. This brush is a good start for any starter nail art kits. </div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-59872397835476912332014-10-31T02:21:00.001-07:002015-03-25T01:34:27.281-07:00Zombies Hungry For Brains Nails.Happy Halloween.<br />And just in time my last Halloween mani for the year. Little G wanted a skull while her big brother D wanted a monster face. They lost patience while daddy and mommy was prepping the pumpkins to be carved, but once daddy started carving they came back around And they were very happy with their pumpkins. They even got to look at them while waiting to fall asleep when it was time for bed. I have a few ideas for Halloween nails this year.<br /><br />First nails I did was basecolor Sinful Color Black on Black and Fantasy Makers Glitz glitter. For the glitter to stick on my nails I used some foil glue and topped off with some topcoat. Then I used Bunny Nails HD-C and Black on Black to stamp on the spider webs over the Glitz nails.<br />Over the black nails I used a striper brush and foil glue and drew spider web free hand. Let it dry for a few minutes before I brushed over with Glitz. And bam a glitter glammed out spider web.<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/EHVzmI29ldU/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/EHVzmI29ldU?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/EHVzmI29ldU?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3FJrl2bGYFQ/VDOF_6XfQQI/AAAAAAAAAes/GoB8N4RQjP0/s1600/PicsArt_1412407734195.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3FJrl2bGYFQ/VDOF_6XfQQI/AAAAAAAAAes/GoB8N4RQjP0/s1600/PicsArt_1412407734195.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Moving along to today's nails and tutorial. I used Orly Deja Vu as base, then the bats full nail image from Bunny Nails HD-C stamped with Black on Black. Then I used Pure Ice Superstar! and Just Nail 24 Dance brush to make the ghosts. Then a dotting tool for the ghost's eyes and mouth. Before topping it all of with my favorite topcoat HK Girl. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><object width="320" height="266" class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/LYh6J31nTyc/0.jpg"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/LYh6J31nTyc?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/LYh6J31nTyc?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QivFF-eME_o/VDOG9IiTz6I/AAAAAAAAAe0/s9XoBAbldLM/s1600/PicsArt_1412655044031.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QivFF-eME_o/VDOG9IiTz6I/AAAAAAAAAe0/s9XoBAbldLM/s1600/PicsArt_1412655044031.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-83807481360467705282014-09-21T13:06:00.002-07:002014-09-21T13:06:51.729-07:00Oh, Fairies Sprinkle Me In Some Pixie Dust So I Can Do Water Marbles.<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">So the idea was I wanted to combine two nail challenges in one, water marbling and individual images stamping.<br />I haven't tried water marbled nails before because I am so afraid of the clean up. But I have watched Colette's videos on youtube for years. She is for sure the water marble queen.<br /><br />But it was clearly it was easier said than done, and not as easy as it looks on youtube. After trying for 2 hours I finally gave up. And my cuticles looked like hell, even tho I used tape around my nail to make the mess less. Needless to say I need more practice, but I want to go to the dollar store and get a bunch of cheap polishes to practice the art of water marbles.<br /><br />So I had to figure out something else to do on my nails, so I decided to do a gradient spotted sponge effect under some glitter. All the polishes I used for these nails are by Sinful Colors.<br />I used Beautiful Girl as base color, and Bianca and Thimbleberry for very faint gradient spots. Then I topped it all off with Pink Glitter to look like my pixie dust.<br /><br />For the stamping I also used a SC polish Black On Black and Marianne Nails n 11, this plate is so pretty and girly with all the fairies. I love it.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object width="320" height="266" class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/KXKnDd51H3w/0.jpg"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/KXKnDd51H3w?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/KXKnDd51H3w?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div style="text-align: center;">youtube tutorial</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EkJQGKQxGaU/VB8vI77kSyI/AAAAAAAAAeM/fuUQhBtcqmM/s1600/PicsArt_1411290532531.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EkJQGKQxGaU/VB8vI77kSyI/AAAAAAAAAeM/fuUQhBtcqmM/s1600/PicsArt_1411290532531.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lW_f-abBbzI/VB8vImUErSI/AAAAAAAAAeQ/YHb4z0jvf1c/s1600/PicsArt_1411290430218.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lW_f-abBbzI/VB8vImUErSI/AAAAAAAAAeQ/YHb4z0jvf1c/s1600/PicsArt_1411290430218.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cGgFzL8TnLI/VB8vIl4l-SI/AAAAAAAAAeI/f3wxOlA4wzg/s1600/PicsArt_1411321246653.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cGgFzL8TnLI/VB8vIl4l-SI/AAAAAAAAAeI/f3wxOlA4wzg/s1600/PicsArt_1411321246653.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><br />Looks like fall has reached us here in Salt Lake City, it is for sure fall weather with rain. In mid June my grandmother in-law bought me the extra large box of WEN products:<br />3 bottles of cleansing conditioners in Summer Honey Peach 16 fl OZ/480 ml<br />1 bottle of Six Thirteen 12 fl OZ/350 ml<br />1 container Re Moist Intensive Hair Treatment 4OZ<br />1 bottle Replenishing Treatment Mist 6fl OZ/180ml<br />1 bottle Straightening Smoothing Gloss 1fl OZ/30ml<br />1 tube Anti-Frizz Styling Creme 4fl Oz/120ml<br />2 pumps<br />1 Wide-Tooth comb<br />1 Travel Kit w/3 styling products in travel size<br /><br /><br /><br />So before I started and even before I made the order I asked some friends about WEN and their thoughts about the system. And if they had any tips for me on how to use WEN products. My friend Kelly told me she washes her hair every other day and the day she doesn't wash her hair she leaves in SixThirteen as a overnight hair mask. So that was the route I decided to do myself.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LNxmfK6FsJ4/VA4ftbp-yMI/AAAAAAAAAdc/rrzEaYBAXEQ/s1600/20140624_025225.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LNxmfK6FsJ4/VA4ftbp-yMI/AAAAAAAAAdc/rrzEaYBAXEQ/s1600/20140624_025225.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My hair before WEN</div><br /><br />Was strange washing my hair the first few times with the WEN cleansing conditioner, but I loved the honey peach scent. Made my hair smell so yummy. I noticed after my first wash that my hair didn't feel as heavy as it normally did when I washed it with shampoo and conditioner. So I wash it every other day and then use 2 pumps SixThirteen as leave in conditioner on those nights I don't wash my hair. Also once a week I use the Re Moist Intensive Hair Treatment as a hair mask, I leave in my wet and clean hair for 30 minutes before I rinse it out.. And every night before I braid my hair for the night I spray some of the Replenishing Treatment mist and I spray it into my hair again in the morning. A few times a week I apply 2 pumps of Straightening Smoothing Gloss to my dry hair, it straightens and makes my hair feel so smooth. I love this product.<br /><br />You couldn't really see any difference in my hair the first weeks, but I could feel a difference in my hair. It was so much lighter and so much softer. And it stayed softer longer than it normally did with normal shampoo and conditioner. I even skipped washing my hair for a few days just to see how long it would stay soft and light. And I was surprised that it was still soft after the 4th day, then I washed it again.<br />After about 4-5 weeks I really started to see a difference in my hair, not just feel it. It didn't look ast brittle and damaged as before. And it was starting to get it's shine back. Now at the beginning of September I can truly say it has done wonders to my hair. My hair is shiny, soft and starting to look as healthy as it did before I had my 2nd child. I do not want to stop using WEN, I am hooked. And granny in-law is so happy I am loving it so she's going to keep buying this large WEN kit for me.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rBlPy9kH_Fg/VA4f8AP9ajI/AAAAAAAAAdo/z8s2VcgkuUE/s1600/20140829_133030.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rBlPy9kH_Fg/VA4f8AP9ajI/AAAAAAAAAdo/z8s2VcgkuUE/s1600/20140829_133030.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> My hair now</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nwiMQg-cM_8/VA4f8EDlkNI/AAAAAAAAAdw/T6bXp2r05LM/s1600/20140829_134123.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nwiMQg-cM_8/VA4f8EDlkNI/AAAAAAAAAdw/T6bXp2r05LM/s1600/20140829_134123.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br /><br />I am also using it on my kids hair, and my 3 1/2 year old who normally screams bloody murder when I brush her hair doesn't make a fuss anymore. Because it is also leaving her hair so soft and smooth and doesn't get as tangled in the back like it used to before.<br />So I can say that WEN has truly helped us here.<div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-43140455591283042452014-08-30T22:31:00.001-07:002014-08-30T23:56:16.274-07:00Girly Girl Nails, Kinda Bestie Nails.Since I started stamping in 2010 and joined facebook and AIS, I have been so blessed to meet so many amazing girls and 1 man who loves nail art as much as I do.<br />3 of these girls also make amazing stamping plates and stamping polishes, that I just love. Johanne the amazing talented nail artist behind Fab Ur Nails and the FUN plates. Her nail art is always breathtaking and I know I am not the only one who gets inspired by her nail art. Then there is Shirley the sweet girl behind Dashica and Infinity Nails plates and Dashica stamping polishes that I LOVE. And lastly Ghislaine the master mind behind the Marianne Nails plates. I love spending time on facebook and chatting with all three of these ladies. We always talk about nails, our kids, life in general, just what ever pops in our mind. Mind you these aren't the only ladies I love talking to.... I love my fellow AIS admins T.I. Rex, Precious, Helen, Debbie, Sarah and Malinka. I so hope I can meet you all one day. So glad I get to share all the ups and downs (when drama happens) with you ladies. And then there is Kelly (for just being the awesome lady that you are), Becky ( for all the PM's you have sent when I was having a rough time), Pamela H (for letting me ask you so many questions about having a kid with Autism), Stacie (you always make me laugh with your jokes), James (just love ya for being a man and loving nail art as much as us ladies and you're so amazing and kind too), Angela L (for playing the game and talking about nail stuff while we do things ingame) , Priscilla (always so sweet), Tamira (who loves Korean dramas like me) and Gwendolynne (who I can talk about nails and food, we're both foodies) that I just love to chat with too.<br /><br />I wanted to do these nails to each and every one of you, I feel so lucky to have met all of you. I wish you all the best for your and your loved ones.<br /><br /><br />Now back to the nails part, I painted my nails with Sinful Colors Thimbleberry<br />Then I used Fab Ur Nails FUN 12, Marianne Nails n22, MoYou Tourist Collection 03 and stamped the images with Dashica stamping polishes in Pastel Pink and Black.<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/XFpLArFh5FY/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/XFpLArFh5FY?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/XFpLArFh5FY?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">youtube tutorial</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PCuVQpQOs5M/VAKyuUh3OuI/AAAAAAAAAc4/tMX2y5tYLb8/s1600/PicsArt_1409425531275.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PCuVQpQOs5M/VAKyuUh3OuI/AAAAAAAAAc4/tMX2y5tYLb8/s1600/PicsArt_1409425531275.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-i-IXHnEFg_4/VAK25xtGU4I/AAAAAAAAAdI/B1PPfCnB7NQ/s1600/10476297_10152567459177107_3154228839795242407_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-i-IXHnEFg_4/VAK25xtGU4I/AAAAAAAAAdI/B1PPfCnB7NQ/s1600/10476297_10152567459177107_3154228839795242407_n.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">As always thanks for stopping by.</div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-35881792884300388542014-08-25T18:24:00.000-07:002014-08-25T18:24:00.832-07:00A Pop Of Yellow. So I had to come up with a color combination I haven't tried before for the AIS Sunday challenge yesterday.<br />For 2 years I have had this bright yellow polish from China Glaze in my little polish collection. Never been able to wear it, just did a swatch on my nail and on a swatch stick and couldn't stand it on my nails. It's just too bright. But for this Sunday challenge I knew I just had to cave in and wear it. I decided to try out some of my new Marianne Nails image plates that the sweet Ghislaine was so kind to send me. So I picked Marianne Nails n18 and n26 and used NCLA I'm With The Band and Dashica Black as my stamping polishes.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object width="320" height="266" class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/EZxhzLohWxQ/0.jpg"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/EZxhzLohWxQ?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/EZxhzLohWxQ?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div style="text-align: center;">Here is the stamping tutorial</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XqnadEbHqSc/U_vhm_cuBWI/AAAAAAAAAco/QtsqCUuFNBI/s1600/PicsArt_1409013079716.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XqnadEbHqSc/U_vhm_cuBWI/AAAAAAAAAco/QtsqCUuFNBI/s1600/PicsArt_1409013079716.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />And even with the stamped images over the yellow base it's still too yellow. I hope I don't have to wait too long.<br />I have a tiny area for my nail stuff, and try to find ways to organize.<br />I keep all of my nail polishes in 4 shoe boxes, yes I don't have that much polish. The joy of limited budget for nail stuff.....<br />I keep all my nail care tools, and most nail art items and tools in one drawer. I love Shirley's stamping polishes. I have only tried some Konad and Dashica and between the two Dashica stamping polishes are great.<br />They tend to separate after a while but I add 2 mixing balls to them. So it's easy to get them blended again with a good shake.<br /><br />Back to the stamping, I stamped 4 nails on each hand with the rose image. but left one without any stamping to have an accent nail with some gems and a ring. The crystals are the ones I got from banggood.com and the gold ring is from bornprettystore.com. I just used my topcoat as glue and applied the decals with my Crystal Katana, before sealing everything in with a last coat of topcoat.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object width="320" height="266" class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/5m27c579JDY/0.jpg"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/5m27c579JDY?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/5m27c579JDY?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div style="text-align: center;">youtube tutorial</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xD1PNPGnV5Q/U--s-Xl_ZdI/AAAAAAAAAZs/4Qngj77aouk/s1600/PicsArt_1408149921953.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xD1PNPGnV5Q/U--s-Xl_ZdI/AAAAAAAAAZs/4Qngj77aouk/s1600/PicsArt_1408149921953.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Final look</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I love Marianne Nails plates, there are so many cute image plates. My Marianne Nails plate wish list is getting long. Not as long as MoYou or Dashica but they haven't released as many plates yet. I am sure the Marianne Nails list will grow longer very quickly.</div><div style="text-align: left;">I went to Dollar Tree and got some cheap little containers to keep some of my nail goodies in, and I found better containers for my banggood gems. And I can store the stamper heads in the old container that used to hold the gems. Not my own idea to keep the stampers in there, a girl in AIS posted a picture of her stamper heads in the very same container. And I just knew that I had to start keeping mine in there once my gems got a new home. I also got some more plastic baskets in different sizes, I had gotten a few over the last 2 months and they were perfect to keep all of my tools and nail art items in so of course I had to go back and get more before they sold out. And of course since hubby and grandmother in-law will buy me a desk and a Helmer from Ikea to keep all of my nail stuff. I have started to plan how to organize things more than before. Oh, I can't wait..........</div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-20653719496493153342014-08-06T16:53:00.003-07:002014-08-06T16:53:51.448-07:00BuNa-A By Bunny Nails ReviewI got this surprise in my mail box the other day. An image plate with a cute little note from Bunny Nails.<br />If you haven't heard of Bunny Nails she has <a href="https://www.facebook.com/bunny.nails/about">facebook</a> page. She is a very talented stamper with the most amazing looking natural long nails I have seen. I normally don't like too long nails on people, but she always has these amazing manis on her nails that just takes your breath away.<br />She has her own line of stamping plates <a href="http://bunnynails.ecrater.com/c/1638963/hd-and-buna-series-nail-stamp">Bunny Nails Store</a>, they look amazing so I have wanted to try one of her plates.<br />Because of her kind heart I was finally able to try out one of her image plats. She sent me BuNa-A as a gift, so sweet of her. This plate has some amazing looking full nail images on it and they are so big. They are 2x2.5 scm, then there is one special full nail image that is 4x4 cm. Even tho the plate doesn't have a backing on it, it's not as sharp on the edges as the cheap plates you get from ebay,AE,bornprettystore etc.<br />The plate itself is as big as the FUN plates from Fab Ur Nails.<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/gmLCbl19dgU/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/gmLCbl19dgU?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/gmLCbl19dgU?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div style="text-align: center;">Closer Look at video</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">For the stamping test I used Wet N Wild Black Creme as stamping polish. And my XL stamper with the squishy marshmallow replacement head from Fab Ur Nails. </div><div style="text-align: left;">Now about the stamping quality of these images, one word they are AMAZING. I didn't have any problems with any of the images. Yes, sometimes I wasn't fast enough with my stamping (darn A/C) but each image was picked up and with every detail of the image so crisp and clear. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><object width="320" height="266" class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/BrPM4wgHY0k/0.jpg"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/BrPM4wgHY0k?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/BrPM4wgHY0k?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center;">Stamping test video</div></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Yes, I know these plates cost more than Konad, Bundle Monster, Cheeky, MoYou etc. But these plates are bigger and has bigger full nail images on them. You have to pay a bit more for these Indie brand plates, but if you're unlike me who doesn't have a limited budget for nail art and nail polishes then I can highly recommend this plate. I myself have to save up to buy some of the other plates that Bunny Nails has released. And hopefully I can buy one or two of her plates soon, I already know what plates I want next (BuNa-B, and then her HD Halloween and Christmas plates they look amazing) </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br />As always thank you for stopping by.<br />Happy stamping.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346919496032814769.post-61177711800111221532014-07-30T14:44:00.000-07:002014-08-21T22:43:39.558-07:00My Review Of Marianne Nails Image Plates. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br />A few weeks back I was able to join my first image plate group buy in AIS. The image plates are a French brand called Marianne Nails. They are designed in France by a very sweet girl named Ghislaine.<br />First I only signed up for 5 of the normal sized plates but when I saw the images on the XXL plate I asked my hubby very nicely if I could order that plate too. And he said yes, so with joy I ordered the XXL plate with the 5 normal plates.<br /><br />The Marianne Nails XXL 1 plate is a great deal if you have limited funds, it is packed with so many pretty images. There are are full nail images and individual images, and so many different styles of images for any types. There are flowers, butterflies, fairies, French tip, some holiday images, girly images etc. The price for the XXL plate is €23.90 The normal plates are €6.50 and there are some plates that are a series of plates (Asian, Manga, Flowers, Animal, Paris etc). They are the same shape and size as MoYou and Infinity Nails plates, and they have the same type of thick plastic backing but in pink. And every Friday they release 5 new plates.<br /><br />Here is the link to <a href="http://www.ventesreservees.com/177-marianne-nails?">Marianne Nails</a> website, they have International shipping.<br />One thing you should know about Marianne Nails, they only make 200 of each plate. And once it's sold out they will not remake the plates. So I guess you can call them all limited edition plates. If there are any plates you like and want to buy I wouldn't wait too long to buy them. You may risk not being able to get them at all.<br />There is also a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Marianne-nails/1434900166772095?fref=ts">Marianne Nails facebook page</a> where Ghislaine shares all news and new plate previews.<br /><br />Here are the close up videos of these plates.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/rOu15HpQFhk/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/rOu15HpQFhk?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/rOu15HpQFhk?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div style="text-align: center;">Closer Look At: Marianne Nails XXL 1</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/eEELCelxc4w/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/eEELCelxc4w?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/eEELCelxc4w?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Closer Look at: Marianne Nails (normal sized plates)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">And here are the stamping test videos.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/FKUqToT8K6g/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/FKUqToT8K6g?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/FKUqToT8K6g?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Stamping test XXL </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/okTKpNbCzYc/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/okTKpNbCzYc?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/okTKpNbCzYc?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div><div style="text-align: center;">Stamping Test normal sized plates</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Of all of the images I tested there was only one image that I couldn't get to stamp. I tried it with 2 different stamping polishes and tried using all of my different types of stampers. And still it wouldn't pick up the whole image. I have shown pictures of all of the stampers to Ghislaine and she will replace my plate. And that shows that she cares about her product and customers, so I give her and the plates 2 thumbs up.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I have a very limited budget when it comes to anything nail related, I can't buy as much as other bloggers and youtubers out there. So I have to save up before I can buy more of these pretty plates, and hopefully the plates I want won't sell out.</div><div style="text-align: left;">I have a few manis ideas in my head using some of these plates, and I hope to have one tutorial up in a day or two. The first one will be stamping decal and free hand acrylic painting. Hopefully it ends up looking like I want it to...... </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Thank you Ghislaine, for designing these amazing looking plates and for the nice chats I have had with you.</div><div style="text-align: left;">I can not wait to see more of your beautiful plates. </div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://klout.com/#/Korwegian</div>Silje Bannisterhttps://plus.google.com/107432035270934222695noreply@blogger.com1
