So Much Stress

I know I haven't posted here in weeks. But it's been very stressful the last 3 1/2 weeks.
My 92 year old grandmother in-law that I am caretaker of had a heart attack, and since then my duties to take care of her has doubled.
Since then her pulse have been really low 38-46 beats per minute, and she's been very weak, not able to eat much and needed more help than normal. Needless to say I haven't had much sleep the last few weeks, and thank goodness I don't have a beauty blog or beauty YT channel where I do makeup tutorials. My skin is so bad.... And have dark circles under my eyes, I look like a raccoon.

Grandmother in-law was rushed again to the hospital because her pulse was very low and she was so weak and dizzy. They also saw that her kidneys have been damaged the last few weeks due to the medications they prescribed her.

Anyways, because of all the stress the last few weeks we have decided to take the kids to the Utah state fair tomorrow. So I did my nails.....
Didn't do a video of this mani, too worn out to record and edit one right now.

I used my first Enchanted  Polish Flashing Lights, this is just stunning. I so have to get a backup of this polish, I can't stop staring at it.
And on two of the nails on my right hand I did 2 coats of Orly Deja Vu as base for a negative space nail look. I used some striping tape, vertically on one nail and horizontally on the other once Deja Vu had completely dried. Then applied 2 coats of Flashing Lights and removed tape while the polish was still wet.
For the image I knew I wanted something delicate but simple that wouldn't hide the effects in Flashing Lights, so pulled out my Marianne Nails plate and picked a rose image on Marianne Nails n64 and stamped the image on 2 nails on each hand as accent nails with Funky Fingers Dark Knight.
Applied Superchic Lacquer Marvel topcoat on all nails, and pulled out my Crystal Katana and glued on some Swarovski crystals that was sent to me by Crystal Ninja a few weeks back.

Right hand with the negative space and different crystal placement.

These nails go well as awareness nails for Awareness Childhood Cancer for September too.
I wish you could see the full effect of the holographic effect in this gold glitter polish, it's just stunning. I hope you liked this one, thanks for stopping by.

A Touch Of Elegance

I wanted something simple but elegant on my nails. So I decided to do a look that also can be used as bridal nails. So if you're getting married and don't know what to do on your nails, then keep reading.

I applied Bliss Kiss Simply Peel around my cuticles for easy clean up, it's a peel off base with latex, But not pure latex so the smell isn't as bad as pure liquid latex. Plus it has glitter in it so it sparkles once it's dry.
I used Orly Deja Vu as my base color, I applied 2 thin coats.
Then I grabbed my Marianne Nails n01 and Funky Fingers Gesso as my stamping polish.
I am using the clear stamper head I got from Fab Ur Nails in her cap stamper handle. And stamped all my nails. Then I applied Glisten & Glow HK Girl fast drying topcoat and peeled off Simply Peel and used my sable hair cleanup brush from Fab Ur Nails and polish remover to clean any leftover polish on my skin and cuticles.
Then I selected the 3D nail decoration from aliexpress and my Akzents Bling On UV/LED light gel. This gel is to attach any 3D nail decorations, if you're loving Swarovski crystals like I do. This gel is safe for the Swarovski crystals, it won't ruin the sparkle effect in the crystals. You need a UV or LED light to cure the gel. If you have UV curing  lamp you have to cure it for 3 minutes, LED lamp for 60 seconds. I used my Crystal Katana to place and adjust the decoration onto my nail, it is the best pickup tool for crafts and nail art. Since I have a 12W LED I cured the gel for 60 seconds.

Flower Power For Long & Sad Winter Days.

Winter  always makes me sad, so cold and dark. I have been busy making youtube videos of Marianne Nails image plates and stampers for the last few days. And even filmed a couple of quick tip videos I need to edit and upload. I needed a break from all the work, even tho it's fun work I needed a break. Because it takes time and it's a lot of work that goes behind each video. My nails looked like crap, so I decided to do my nails and do the AIS Sunday challenge at the same time. I looked at all of my new Marianne Nails plates, and let me tell you it wasn't easy to pick a plate or image. I decided on some flower nails, since it's so cold right now and I am longing for spring and summer. I haven't done a Leadlight tutorial yet, just played around with it on some swatch sticks the last few weeks since I got my first jelly polishes not too long ago. So I figured it was time these nails....  Leadlight technique is just stunning and the creator of Messy Mansion plates came up with the technique.

So I used one of my new Marianne Nails image plates n60 and stamped the image with La Femme White. Then I used my 2 favorite nail art brushes I got from Fab Ur Nails Pure Color 10 and Just Nails 24 Dance to fill in 10.1 Polish Full Moon and 10.1 Polish Cherry Blast over the image. I love my 10.1 Polishes. They are so pretty and they dry so fast, and a big bonus that they are 5 free.

And now I can't stop looking at my nails. I am really happy how these turned out. Now back to editing videos.

Girly Girl Nails, Kinda Bestie Nails.

Since I started stamping in 2010 and joined facebook and AIS, I have been so blessed to meet so many amazing girls and 1 man who loves nail art as much as I do.
3 of these girls also make amazing stamping plates and stamping polishes, that I just love. Johanne the amazing talented nail artist behind Fab Ur Nails and the FUN plates. Her nail art is always breathtaking and I know I am not the only one who gets inspired by her nail art.  Then there is Shirley the sweet girl behind Dashica and Infinity Nails plates and Dashica stamping polishes that I LOVE. And lastly Ghislaine the master mind behind the Marianne Nails plates. I love spending time on facebook and chatting with all three of these ladies. We always talk about nails, our kids, life in general, just what ever pops in our mind. Mind you these aren't the only ladies I love talking to.... I love my fellow AIS admins T.I. Rex, Precious, Helen, Debbie, Sarah and Malinka. I so hope I can meet you all one day. So glad I get to share all the ups and downs (when drama happens) with you ladies.  And then there is Kelly (for just being the awesome lady that you are), Becky ( for all the PM's you have sent when I was having a rough time), Pamela H (for letting me ask you so many questions about having a kid with Autism), Stacie (you always make me laugh with your jokes), James (just love ya for being a man and loving nail art as much as us ladies and you're so amazing and kind too), Angela L (for playing the game and talking about nail stuff while we do things ingame) , Priscilla (always so sweet), Tamira (who loves Korean dramas like me) and Gwendolynne (who I can talk about nails and food, we're both foodies) that I just love to chat with too.

I wanted to do these nails to each and every one of you, I feel so lucky to have met all of you. I wish you all the best for your and your loved ones.

Now back to the nails part, I painted my nails with Sinful  Colors Thimbleberry
Then I used Fab Ur Nails FUN 12, Marianne Nails n22, MoYou Tourist Collection 03 and stamped the images with Dashica stamping polishes in Pastel Pink and Black.

My Review Of Marianne Nails Image Plates.

A few weeks back I was able to join my first image plate group buy in AIS. The image plates are a French brand called Marianne Nails. They are designed in France by a very sweet girl named  Ghislaine.
First I only signed up for 5 of the normal sized plates but when I saw the images on the XXL plate I asked my hubby very nicely if I could order that plate too. And he said yes, so with joy I ordered the XXL plate with the 5 normal plates.

The Marianne Nails XXL 1 plate is a great deal if you have limited funds, it is packed with so many pretty images. There are are full nail images and individual images, and so many different styles of images for any types. There are flowers, butterflies, fairies, French tip, some holiday images, girly images etc. The price for the XXL plate is  €23.90  The normal plates are  €6.50 and there are some plates that are a series of plates (Asian, Manga, Flowers, Animal, Paris etc). They are the same shape and size as MoYou and Infinity Nails plates, and they have the same type of thick plastic backing but in pink. And every Friday they release 5 new plates.

Here is the link to Marianne Nails website, they have International shipping.
One thing you should know about Marianne Nails, they only make 200 of each plate. And once it's sold out they will not remake the plates. So I guess you can call them all limited edition plates. If there are any plates you like and want to buy I wouldn't wait too long to buy them. You may risk not being able to get them at all.
There is also a Marianne Nails facebook page where Ghislaine shares all news and new plate previews.

Here are the close up videos of these plates.

And here are the stamping test videos.

Stamping Test normal sized plates

Of all of the images I tested there was only one image that I couldn't get to stamp. I tried it with 2 different stamping polishes and tried using all of my different types of stampers. And still it wouldn't pick up the whole image. I have shown pictures of all of the stampers to Ghislaine and she will replace my plate. And that shows that she cares about her product and customers, so I give her and the plates 2 thumbs up.

I have a very limited budget when it comes to anything nail related, I can't buy as much as other bloggers and youtubers out there. So I have to save up before I can buy more of these pretty plates, and hopefully the plates I want won't sell out.
I have a few manis ideas in my head using some of these plates, and I hope to have one tutorial up in a day or two. The first one will be stamping decal and free hand acrylic painting. Hopefully it ends up looking like I want it to......

Thank you Ghislaine, for designing these amazing looking plates and for the nice chats I have had with you.
I can not wait to see more of your beautiful plates.
