Sunday May 5th AIS challenge.

Jikes, weekend is almost over already.....  Oh, well....
Today's challenge in AIS Stamping over a lilac base. So I painted my nails with 2 of my Julie G polishes;  Fairytale on 3 of my nails,  and Crushed Candy on ring finger and thumb nail (one of the gumdrop polishes). I did 2 coats on both polishes and then used a topcoat before I started stamping.
I think these two polishes  look really great paired together, sorry the cream one look kinda washed out on some of the pictures. It is really a very pretty pastel lilac cream polish, so if you're on the lookout for a pastel lilac you can find these polishes at RiteAid.

Because I used one of the gumdrop polishes I knew I couldn't pick an image with very fine details and lines, because it would just drown and look really odd because of all the glitter in that polish. So picked out an image from one of my  Dashica Big plates. I went with some roses on plate Dashica Big SdP U and used my Konad special polish in White. 

Let me just tell you............

Not easy to stamp and make a video at the same time when a 2 year old is climbing all over around you...  LOL!! That's the reason why it gets a bit shaky in my tutorial, sorry......

On other note, I get to try out my new Dyson today. My old Dyson animal needed to be tossed out after 7 years. My new Dyson  isn't an animal, since we don't have any pets right now. And my husband ordered 1 lb of that Death Coffee, have you heard about it??? If you haven't google it.

Metallic Madness.

Sunday 7th October challenge in AIS was Metallic Madness. Using metallic polishes as base color or stamping color. My plans for getting the video done and blog post done yesterday was ruined. But better late than never.... Right?

I used Wet N Wild Wet Cement as base color, Maybelline's Bold Gold as stamping polish and pulled out my Dashica Big SdP U plate. I don't know why, but when fall and winter comes I always use brown shades a lot on my nails. Any of you do the same???  I tried to limit my stamping on the video, so did 2 nails before I hit the record button. Think it helped since this video is way shorter than my other stamping videos.

Dashica Big SdP U Review.

Today I tested out the Dashica Big SdP U plate, the second brand new plate from Dashica.
I was exited to try this plate too, this plate has some images that are wider than the normal full nail images on Dashica. Wait, wider than any image out there. So if you have wider nail beds or want to do stamping on your toes you can fit one of these images on your big toe nail. Or if you want to split the images onto two nails you can do that too.
First of I'll show you the size of the wider image next to an image on a Konad plate, and then next to a normal full nail Dashica image. I have to apologize for some of the pictures and the video, I had a hard time getting the right light to take pictures and make the video today.

Now onto the testing the plate. Again the light was a problem for me today, there for the video isn't as good as the one I did for the Big SdP V plate. I had a hard time just using the screen on my camera to aim the images onto my nail, so I stamp a lot out of camera view. Also even tho I had turned of the A/C so it would blow cool air to my nail working are (dining table) and dry out the polish to quick, I still had a few times it dried on me. Was a hot day here today...  Hopefully I will have better luck with the light issue on my next video.

So what do I think of this plate?

I love it, all the images stamped really well. And you can see all the detail of each image on my nails. I really like that you can split one of these wider images on two nails, or just use different parts of the image on your nails. The Big SdP V & U have the same amazing stamping quality as the normal SdP plates or XXL SdP 1 plate. And they have full nail images and angled French tip images, and a few images on each plate are mirrored so you can use the images on both hands. That was something I always hated with Konad and Bundle Monster that they never had any of their images mirrored, so if you used the image on both hands it just looked so odd.....
