My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic, Rarity Nails.

When I was young I never liked My Little Pony, I thought the cartoon was scary looking and never got into playing with the toys. I was more of a Barbie playing girl.
A while ago I was trying to find something that would maybe get my 2 year old's attention, and came across the new My Little Pony, Friendship Is Magic on Hub. And it didn't take long before she said "COW" lol, that's her first choice word when it gets to guessing an animal. So mommy had to explain, those are horses not cows. Didn't take her long to say horse when ever she saw the ponies.
I was shocked in a good way how good the new MLP series are, the characters are cute looking. And it's not just for 5 year old little girls. *PHEW* You get some funny scenes and some pop culture references aimed for the older than 5 viewers, in quite a few episodes.  Here they're fond of Pinkie Pie & Rainbow Dash the most. Anyways, I wanted to do a manicure inspired by one of the characters. So I thought it would be easiest to start with Rarity.

Rarity

Items used for this manicure.

I used Julie G's White Orchid and Color Club Wild At Heart (thumb nail) as base color. On the thumb over Wild At Heart I made thin stripes with a nail art brush and Maybelline Color Show Amethyst Ablaze.
For the images I found them both on Nailz Craze NC 02. I used the rainbow image for the main and tail and  the unicorn image. I used Amethyst Ablaze for most of the stamping and then Konad Special polish in White for the unicorn image. Then I picked 3 blue diamond shaped rhinestones to use as Rarity's cutie mark on ring finger nail.  And sealed it in with Poshe's fast drying top coat.

My youtube stamping tutorial.

Final Look.

Can't really see the stripes over the purple holo polish...
Was so hard trying to take  a picture so you could see the beautiful effect it made.

I wanted to make a Rarity manicure that didn't look too childish, you know. But still see it's a Rarity inspired look for grownup ladies??? LOL.....
Hope you all will have a great summer weekend!!
Happy Stamping
