Something to make you smile.

Today is the one year mark since the attacks back home in Norway that killed 77 people and just a few days since the horrible shooting in Aurora that killed 12 people. It is beyond me how someone can think of doing such evil acts to ruin a summer camp for young kids or a special night at the movies with your friends and loved ones. So many lives ruined forever, it has been heartbreaking watching news. We shouldn't remember the names of the men who did these evil act, but the people who was killed by these evil acts and their loved ones. Last year a young girl in Oslo was interviewed on CNN saying these powerful words. And in times like this we should all spread these words and honor the ones who lost their lives to these evil men.

"If one man can show so much hate, think how much love we could show together."

Now I want to share these funny pictures of my little girl, and I hope they'll put a smile on your face

And as a bonus the video I got of her before my battery died.

Hope you liked them. Have a great week.

Nails and bath time.

I have been doing stamping for a few years now, but haven't done a lot of the more than 1 colored images. And by the looks of this one I need to do some more so I can get the hang of it. I used on of my new summer polishes as base color, and 1 coat of SF topcoat and stamped with Konad Special polish in black and white and used my Dashica plate XXL Big SdP 1 and SdP 38. It's so humid in this apt these days so  on a few nails the white smudged, and I didn't use too much polish. I never cover more than half of the image and use a thin layer of polish. Never really had any need to cover the whole image with polish, my way worked. But anyways I think I want to redo this one and swap the stamping polishes out with the foiled ones from Pure Ice. Because of the smudging on some of the nails, I'm not too happy about this one.

So  after my nails was done and dry and an other evening trip to the park, it was time for bath time before bed. And they played nicely and shared all the toys. Before it was a struggle to get Daniel to take a bath, but now as soon as I run the water for Grace he comes running. The small tricks we parents know to get our way, what would we all do without them  LOL.

Any of you have a guilty pleasure of watching reality TV?  Mine right now are The Real Housewives of New Jersey and Orange County, I can't help it the joy of ladies with loads of money still can act like white trash. And of course Hell's Kitchen, I wouldn't go there to eat until like the end of the season. That Beef Wellington  when it's cooked the right way looks to die for.

Today's dinner here will be meatloaf with mashed potatoes all made from scratch and some BBQ on the side. Request from hubby. I wish it wasn't so dam hot here during the day, so we could go out and play and take walks. But Daniel and me don't do well in heat, we get really bad heat strokes his can make him throw up. I can deal with around 75 -80 degrees, any higher than that  the problems starts kicking in.

Well, anyways time to make lunch here so I better start before I get cranky kids. Have a good week.

Drive-In Theater & monkey kids......

Yesterday hubby and I really wanted to see the Avengers, him more than me......He has been talking bout this movie for a while now. But I wanted to see it too, I don't read spoilers like he does tho. Anyways we don't really have anyone to help us babysit so our only choice was the Drive-In theater. So mommy's battle plan was packing the kids, blankets, toys, snacks, drinks big pillows, gameboy, leap pad etc.... When I was done packing all the stuff, I swear it felt like we were going camping for a weekend.....
Our showing started at 9.30 pm 2 movies on one ticket, and was Avengers x 2. We missed the first minutes of the movie, so many people wanting to see it too. And even tho they were showing it on two screens the 2 parking lots for Avengers were pretty full. So finally settled at out parking spot, fixed the backseat so the kids could roam freely in the back with their toys and play. Then Grace decided to be a monkey so she was climbing back and forth, to mommy to daddy and all over, trying to push buttons, honk the horn.... Monkey number two however just wanted to see Captain America so when he wasn't on the screen he kept asking where he was. We know what costume we have to hunt down this year for Halloween, LOL. Needless to say we missed parts of the movie. So we decided to stay and watch the part we had missed in the beginning of the movie on the second showing.  By that time little monkey girl was getting over tired and CRANKY, and made sure to let mommy and daddy know how cranky she was. But while we were catching up with the parts we missed she crashed on top mommy so we stayed for the whole 2 nd showing. And we were happy we did, since we missed quite a bit of the key elements of the movie the first time.  On the drive back home we agreed to wait a few months before we hit the Drive-In again with our monkeys.

So what did I think of the movie??? I enjoyed it as much as hubby. It was funny and packed with action, and it will have to be an add to our DVD collection later. The funniest scene Loki and Hulk. Would have loved to see it in the theater instead tho. But loved the whole cast, they were all perfect for their characters, and it's a movie for boys and girls of all ages.

Have a great week.

What a weekend...

The weekend started out ok and was fine at the beginning. Yesterday we had a nice late lunch with an omelette and chilli cheese fries. Then followed with a short car ride and a trip to the park, it was mild overcast but kids had fun. Running around playing tag, and little pumpkin couldn't stop walking on the grass. She fell over a lot, like every few steps. But still no tears and kept walking and walking and walking. When it was time to go home her cheeks was all rosy and her eyes lids heavy, so we got home and she got a few sips of her apple juice before the eyelids won the battle and she was ZZZZZzzzz sitting up holding her sippy cup. Then it was time for mommy to make dinner. I had decided on doing chicken breast with pineapple, red bell pepper, onion in some Yoshida sauce and rice. So I did what I normally do seasoned it with a small dash of black pepper and some salt. And time for dinner. We didn't know how the heck it happened but it was really spicy, so we had to do a frozen pizza for the kids. Then husband looked up bell peppers online, and this was news to me. But sometimes you can get a spicy bell pepper.

But with kids being worn out I could focus on  this Sunday's stamping challenge Black and White. And daddy and mommy could relax and play FFXI with some friends before we crashed for the night.

 This green thing safe???

Stop taking my picture and get me out of here.

Being silly inn the park.

And we walked and walked and walked.

And we fell over so many times.

Then early Sunday morning his grandmother woke up with bad pains and was sick. She has heart problems but has been so dam stubborn before and not wanted to see a doctor or go to the hospital. But she thought it may be a kidney stone and there is no home remedy for that. So she had to bite the sour apple and let my husband take her to the hospital. She lives with us because she can't live alone, and she has heart problems and diabetes. Still she is stubborn as a bat and has a diet that is crazy, a few bowls of ice cream a day, a couple of glasses of cokes and bunch of sweets. I don't know what it is with that family of my husband's, they all have diabetes and a mega sweet tooth. My husband how ever has cut down like crazy on his sugar intake since he got back from the hospital a couple of months ago. We even tried to just buy in Coke Zero and the old lady flipped big time. Not easy to learn an old dog new tricks. So here I am at home worrying hoping she'll be fine and come back in a few hours. Glad that little pumpkin is awake and keeping mommy busy and with company.

Hope you ladies had a better weekend than me.

Happy it's Friday mani.

Good morning ladies. So little pumpkin and I were up super early, think we're getting 2 new teeth so not easy being an almost 15 months old. I got to do mani without anyone hanging over my shoulder. But when mommy pulled out the camera, a little girl got BIG eyes and rushed over to take a closer look. So in some of the photos you may see a pink belly, foot or little hand. I got to snap my pictures of my mani, and then she she was on my lap so I had to snap a funny one of her too.
Hope you all have a great weekend! Relax, eat, drink, have fun and so on.

Very short post today, since she's still on my lap wanting to hit every key on mommy's laptop.

Rant!!

As a mother of 4 and with the two youngest loving Nick Jr and of course my soon 15 month old baby girl enjoying Yo Gabba Gabba and The Fresh Beat Band. Her favorite Nick Jr character was Moose, she would stop and pay attention to the TV screen as soon as she heard his voice come up. So I was so bummed when this month started that Moose is GONE. I told my husband and he found by browsing online that we're not the only ones with unhappy children who is missing their Moose time. There are groups all over the place, I didn't wait 2 seconds before I joined the Facebook group. And I sorry the kids and I do not like the what they have replaced Moose with. So if you have kids who love Nick Jr and loved Moose and miss him and Zee and have Facebook JOIN this group please.

And to cheer my self up again, here are the mani's from yesterday and today. Hope you all have a great evening.

Late breakfast....???

Who ever said you can't have breakfast food for any other meal, need to live a little. Today's menu was Hash browns with bacon, bell peppers, onions and cheese, apple chicken sausage from the deli at Sunflower Market and scrambled eggs. Very warming for a cold winters night in Utah, and I had some "help" in the kitchen today from my 14 months old snuggle bunny. She was sitting happy in her high chair claiming mommy's whisks and mixing bowl and drumming like a champion. So some fun company for me while cooking. And the food tasted yummy too.

My little drummer.

Oh, I can play Peek a bo with this too.

Ready?

Where's the baby??

And a snap, before we dig in.

Costumes!!!

So we went costume shopping. Mr D wanted to be something Lightning McQueen, he's all about Cars at the moment. So he saw it and went O_O I want Lightning McQueen, mommy!!! So that was easy. Now it was little pumpkins turn, finding hers was a bit harder. First finding a costume then the size, some of the costumes are really small even when they say they're 6-12 months. Not easy to take the costume out of the packet and holding it up to see if it fits when you have a little wiggle worm in your arms. But after a while we found her costume.
Drum roll please..... Ready???

She's gonna be a lamb!!! The pink ribbons on the ears are SOOOO cute.

Baby talk.

So little baby girl is now 12 1/2 weeks old. She's like super glues to me 24/7. she's reached the stage that mommy is the center of the universe. But it is so worth it when mommy gets the most charming smiles and koo sounds. I can't believe that the weeks have gone past so dam fast, yes I have 3 older children but you kinda forget how fast they grow when they're babies.
I guess it won't be to long until she gets her first boyfriend....... OMG..... Mega panic. For now it's enough that her 13 1/2 year old sister has her first boyfriend. To be honest I wish I could turn back time and get her back to the Barbie and Bratz age, it's less scary. I'm happy that my 10 year old son is still into video games and hasn't started to run after girls yet. At least my 4 year old still has time to be a great big brother and help mommy with little baby girl. I must say my typing with one hand is getting better. She's hanging over my left shoulder staring at the colored pattern on my top and making cute baby sounds while drooling all over my shoulder. The joy of having a baby in the house. So what if I'm not getting all the rest I could use, and my outfits get spitups spots on them, still wouldn't wish for anything else. Well mebbe an hour or two at a spa...... =P

The little baby girl!!

So my due date was 1. January 2011, but baby girl was born January 20th.
We had a stressful Christmas since the baby's Biliruben was kinda high so we had to have her on a special UV light bed and go to the hospital for her daily blood tests. But now we're all doing good, and enjoying the company of our latest family member.
Yeah, less sleep and so on but still very happy.

Oh, btw there's a great Giveaway at:
