"Boop Boop a Doop, Boop Boop" Nails.

It has been so darn hot here in Salt Lake City the last few days. Too hot for the kids and me, so they're going crazy inside. I try my best to fins activities to do inside, but hoping that hubby and I can take them out some place with AC that they can run around for a bit so they can get rid of some of that built in energy they have gathered inside.

Also we put on Lilo & Stitch for the first time for Grace, needless to say it may not be the best movie for a 2 1/2 year old with tantrum fits. Didn't take long for her to scream along with Lilo when Lilo is trying to get away from her big sister....

Also it's been too hot for my nails, hands & cuticles. I am rubbing lotion and cuticle oil like crazy. And still they look CRAZY dry.....

Now moving onto the nails, my base color today is from LA Girl. One of the 3D Holographic Effects polishes, I only have the one in purple. It's filled with fine holo glitter, so you get a different kind of holo effect than what you get from the latest holo collections from China Glaze and Color Club. I found this polish at Rite Aid, they only had a few of the purple ones left. I have to go to other locations and see if they have other colors.

The Betty Boop water decals was part of my birthday gift from Shirley last year. She was so sweet and gave me a Big SdP plate, some nail treatments, couple of stamping polishes, and a stamper, some stickers and this big sheet of Betty Boop water decals. It was so big I had to cut it down to smaller sections. I don't know if she has this Betty Boop decals in her web store, but you can find other amazing looking water decals and nail stickers if you're not into stamping. Here's the link to the water decals, there are different brands and kinds so something for everybody. Anyways, I applied the water decals and did a coat of topcoat over them to seal them in and protect them before I started the stamping part.

Moving on to stamping part, I decided to use one of the latest Big plates from Dashica, Big SdP W and picked a cute feather image. I used my Konad White stamping polish, and my standard Konad stamper. You don't really see me use this stamper that much, normally I use my XL stamper that I put in a bottle cap.

Then I finished it all with a coat of Out The Door fast drying topcoat.

Stamping Test: Dashica Big SdP W.

As promised here is the first stamping test of some of the new plates from Dashica. I am starting with Big SdP W, that I got as a gift to review from Shirley. I like this plate because it has both full nail images and individual images. I used a crappy old and cheap polish as base to stamp over, and I will be using Wet N Wild Black Creme to stamp with, don't want to waste my stamping polishes on these tests.
I know my cuticles and hands look like hell in the pictures and video, the joy of warm weather. I am going crazy with my hand lotion and cuticle oil a few times a day. The joy of living in a desert.........

There is a reason why Dashica is my favorite image plate brand in my collection, so many amazing and unique images. And they stamp amazing, it's like no problem getting the images onto your stamper. Yes, I do have bad stamping moments sometimes and mess it up. But that is me and not the plates, so far I don't think I have had a bad image on any of the Dashica plates in my collection that I have used.

Right now I am so into the full nail images, I just love'em. The only thing bad about ordering Dashica plates is the shipping cost. The full nail images cover my nail length, I hate it when the images are so small I have to double stamp. Not the case for me at all with these plates, Shirley has even made a few special Big SdP plates with extra long images and one plates have extra wide images if you have wider nail beds or want to stamp on your toes.

On one of the nails, I messed up the image. It was not the plate. I pulled the stamper off my nail before I got the whole image onto my nail. So you'll see that I re-did that image on the next nail.  

This plate has quite a few images that will be perfect for next year's Valentine's Day. Looking at this plate I can't wait to be done with all of the testing so I can come up with some neat manicures. A few ideas has hit me already.

Nail Mail and Closer Look At Dashica Big SdP W.

2 weeks ago I made an order from Dashica, but I knew they had a holiday there so Shirley wouldn't be able to ship it out until holiday was over. I got a msg from Shirley last week saying she had shipped my order out. Before it has taken 2 weeks to get from Netherlands to Salt Lake City, so I was shocked to see that I got a box from today.  It had been a bad day so far, the worst for allergies so far this spring. Also my dear 2 year old Grace decided to be a terror with a big T with way too many tantrum fits. I guess they don't call it the terrible two's for nothing.... LOL.

This order from Dashica wasn't as big as the ones I've made before, reason why is that there are other plates I wanted to get too like the Pueen ones. And there are more plates on my list, but I have to wait a bit.

I ordered the new Dash set, 5 Big SdP plates, 6 normal SdP plates and 2 single Dash plates. But Shirley had added 2 gifts for me a nail art brush set and the Big SdP W to review. I had already planned to review the new Big plates and the Dash set. And over the next days I'll be busy making videos and taking pictures of the plates and testing them. I'll do one for each of the new Big plates and the Dash set, so keep your eyes open for those posts and youtube videos.

I don't know how Shirley knew I needed to swap out some of my nail art brushes. Maybe she has super powers. 

First of let's take a closer look at this plate Dashica Big SdP W. When I saw this plate the first thought that hit my head was that it looks like a mini XL SdP plate. They have some full nail images and a bunch of individual images. I love the Big plates, there are so many pretty full nail images on these plates.

Next post will be about testing this plate, I'll try and get it done tomorrow. Crossing my fingers that tomorrow won't be as bad for my allergies as today was.
