April NAS Bag.

So this is the first bag from NAS after they announced that they would bump the price down to $ 9.95 and saying that there wouldn't be a polish every month but nail art items to create trendy manicures. I pay for these  bags out of my own pocket so the opinions I have of these are my own honest opinions.
This month's theme Bows & Stripes.

Items in the bag:
Kiss Nail Artist Paint and Tip Kit
Aqua Striping tape (I got a silver one in an other bag)
Adoro 3D Nail Art Bows
Nail Glue (got one of these before too)

I have used Kiss nail art polish before, I had the one with black, white and silver glitter 2 years ago.
The kit we got from NAS came with some French tip tape strips and some stick on rhinestones.
I like the colors tho, will be perfect for spring and summer. The colors soft blue, soft purple and beach pink.

Now on to the 3D bows from Adoro. Loved these, there was 12 colors and  3 of each color. These are just super cute. My favorite item in this bag, no doubt about that. But one of my colors only had 2 bows.

Nail glue and striping tape we got in earlier bags, but I understand why they added the glue (for the bows).

This month's bag was OK, loved the bows and the Kiss kit was OK to get too. Sometimes you need a good  polish with a long detailed brush to make fine lines or swirls. And the colors are perfect for spring and summer.

Have a great weekend.

The Nail Art Society Bag for March.

Getting this bag was a loooooooooooooong wait, 2 weeks. I normally get my  bags the 12th or 13th every month. But those two days came and went And I posted on NAS facebook page that I hadn't gotten my bag yet, it was really sad to see that I wasn't the only one who hadn't gotten their bag. I got a reply on my post that it could take up to 5 days for me to get my bag, the 5th day of waiting came and went by and still no sign of my bag. So I made an other post telling that my bag still hadn't shown up, and the tracking hadn't been updated since the 11th. And reading the tracking my bag never left California.
The reply was they were so sorry and they would look into what had happened. And that I would get new and updated tracking info on my bag. On the second day with no new email about the new tracking information I made yet an other post. A few hours later I saw an email from one of the partners of NAS saying he was so sorry about what had happened. That he would make sure that they would  send out a new bag, with some extra products in it and that they would refund the the fee for this month's bag to my account. Yesterday I saw that the $ 9.95 was back in my account and today the black padded envelope was in my mailbox.

I saw on facebook that there was a few subscribers that was unhappy with this month's bag. This bag didn't have a polish in it. But a packet of nail polish strips and 5 different nail art decals. So was this really worth the $19.95 (for those who didn't sign up from the start or when they were running the special lifetime membership fee at $ 9.95).????

If I got my bag when I was supposed to I guess it would look like something like this....

The items in this month's bag:
Nail Fraud nail polish strips
NAS colored bee bee balls
NAS fruit nail art
NAS fabric flower nail art
3D Ceramic flowers
3D Bead Drop Nail Art

But since mine never got sent out they put together a new bag for me with extra items. So my bag looked like this

So what is my opinion of this month's bag???
MEEEH!!! And yes, really MEEEEH!!!!

There are sites you can get really cheap nail art decorations (beads, fimo, rhinestones etc.) And you can get nicer looking nail art strips from Sally Hansen $ 7.50 (Walmart) or Kiss Nails 5.97 (also at Walmart). The nail strips in NAS bag are from Nail Fraud and I looked at their site, one packet cost $ 12.00 and right now they only have 4 designs up in their store.

http://www.nailfraud.com/

I my self would have been way happier to get a polish, than a packet of 20 nail strips.  And if I wanted to buy a packet of nail strips I would choose SH or Kiss, the ones I have seen in stores from these brands have looked nicer then the ones from Nail Fraud. Also they are cheaper, and I think the one from Kiss has a few more strips in it than these from Nail Fraud. But I don't buy these things because it would be a waste for me. In general I do my nails and I keep the polish and nail art on for 1-2 days. And a lot of times only for a few hours. I will however apply these strips on one of my hands and leave them on and do a review on how long they last before chipping. So stay tuned.

Moving on to the different types of nail decorations.....

First of: the tiny beads, I never got into the whole Caviar nail thing. I guess the reason was with a 2 year old in the house she would be on my lap 24/7 trying to peel/bite off the beads on my nails........ LOL.

The fimo's I know you can get kits with 30,50, 100 fimo sticks in all kinds of designs on ebay and other sites for a really cheap price (Shany cosmetics has a kit with 200 canes and a cutter for $ 10.00).

The 3D ceramic flowers, I just got a wheel with a few in different colors and shapes from Shany for 3.00 think it has like 48 ceramic flowers in it.

As for the fabric flowers or the 3D drops, not sure if I would have picked them out on my own. So I have to say that this month's bag has been the first bag I'm not happy with. Like I said I would have been happier to get a bottle of polish than the strips.

There are going to be some changes in NAS, they announced that it will cost 9.95 for everybody. And some other information. If you go to :

https://www.facebook.com/NailArtSociety?ref=ts&fref=ts

You can see that NAS's founder Tia has made a few posts about what we can expect from NAS in the next months. One of the changes is that there won't be a polish every months. And I have seen some post that because of that they will end their subscription from NAS. I am willing to give them a try for 2-4 more months before I decide to stay or leave. What would I love to get in a bag? Oh, I would say some of those really cool looking jeweled hearts, crowns, etc. you see on Asian girls (K-pop stars to mention one.)

Thank you for stopping by.
And I wish you all a Happy Easter or if you're on Spring Break, Have fun!!!

Until next time
/hugs

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day! I know I told my self to get more posts up this year, but so far I haven't done so good on posting here or stamping my nails as much as I would like. The joy of living in an area that gets really cold during the winter times comes the joy of sickness..... Just the last weeks we have had a few colds, some stomach bugs and bad coughs with fevers. Had to take my 2 year old little girl to the doctor yesterday, was an hour filled with a screaming scared child trying to get away from the doctor and nurse.
But I did my nails the other day and when that started to chip I just used a polish the next day to paint my nails. Had an idea for stamping over it, but after 2 hours of sleep the night before I felt like a zombie. Just one of those days I guess.

Today is Valentines Day and since we have small kids I don't think hubby and I will be going out to eat today, so I am planning to make something nice to eat here instead. So family V day dinner instead. But I packed a little nice surprise in my hubby's lunch bag today.

Now onto the nails, I have been babbling enough. LOL

Base color is China Glaze Dance Baby, then I stamped with Konad special polish in White and used plate Dashica SdP 35, on my ring finger nail I painted 2 coats of China Glaze BFF from the OMG collection.

I also got my nail bag from Nail Art Society, so I made a quick video. The FP polish I got was Romanticism Ruby. It's loaded with glitter, really pretty.

Hope you all have a nice Valentines Day. Thank you for stopping by.

January bag from Nail Art Society.

I went out to the mail box and saw the black padded envelope from NAS. But to my horror it was wide open, so I cursed the mail man and ran back inside and jumped on my laptop and logged on fb to see if anyone had posted their bags to see if I was missing any items. When I logged on NAS page on fb I saw they had made a post: NAS Bags - HI NAS members! It has been brought to our attention that the seal of the black mailers that we sent our KITs out in for Jan had an issue with the seal... We recently switched the size and company from which we bought these and are looking into correcting this. We apologize for any issues this may have caused you and are immediately rectifying the situation... If have had any issues with the bag, please contact us at 877.665.5238 or email us at info@nailartsociety.com :)  I tried calling the toll free number, but guess they were busy handling call from other members, so sent an email, telling them what was in my bag inc the card. I got a reply like 10 minutes later saying what was missing in my bag was the Swarovski crystals and they would send me new ones right away.
I saw on fb that others got email replies back saying they would get the items missing in their bags replaced too.
But I still decided to make the video and blog post even tho I am missing an item and a card or two. Giving NAS two thumbs up for their customer service. If you had any doubt signing up for this monthly nail bag, I hope this will help you decide. Just the way they handled this month's bag. Amazing. Yes, I know they raised the price $19.95  per month, it's up to you to decide if it's worth that.  I think it's a good way to try out new brands of polish, the last 3 bags I got all had polish brands I hadn't tried before.

Ohhh, just look!! If you join this month you get a New year special 50% off bringing your kit down to $9.95 for the lifetime of your membership. Just enter this code NAS10 at checkout.

Now onto this month's bag.
This is my first polish from Layla and my first magnetic polish. Never had that WOW I have to have a magnetic polish rush, but I want to try it once and see how I like it. But I want to try their holographic polishes, but they cost more. The magnetic color I got: Turquoise Wave.

Then I got some nail art tweezers (always good to have), I have been using some big medical tweezers for my nail art. The last item in my bag was a bottle of Cheri black nail art striper, you can always use one of those.

And the item missing in my bag was Swarovski crystals, but they will send me new ones since mine got lost. Also I think I am missing 2 cards, the one that describes the items you get in this month's bag and the nail art card.

December bag from Nail Art Society.

I went out in the crappy weather to check the mail and a black padded envelope was waiting for me, so I rushed back inside and grabbed my camera and started shooting.  Little G decided she wanted to say a few things on the video too, LOL. Can't believe she turns 2 in a few days ^^
So what is the Nail Art Society bag? It's a monthly subscription bag you can sign up to get each month for $ 19.95. Yes,they raised the price 10 dollars from last month, but if you signed up at the start with them you still get the bag for $ 9.95. I'm paying for this one my self out of my own pocket.
But on to the video.

Closer look.

Mystery & Blockbuster

I have never heard of this brand of polish before, and they're both matte polishes. On the swatches I did one coat. The polishes are really thick, look like they would be good for stamping, I so have to try that out. The polishes have this odd smell to them tho, wasn't too fond of that...... The little box of nail remover pads w/cuticle oil, can't wait to try those. And of course you can never own too many rhinestones, and these are the flat back ones in different sizes. The nail glue I don't use much, hate to glue on rhinestones with glue..... I like to use topcoat instead.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
I am off to do some baking ^^

Nail Art Society Bag.

A couple of weeks ago in AIS someone asked if anyone had signed up for the Nail Art Society Box. I decided to take a look, and saw it's only $ 9.95 a month. So I am going to try it for a few months.
Today I got my first bag. And I had planned to do a video of me opening and sharing my thoughts about it..... But so much for that, the joy of a sore throat and cold......So after shooting the video and editing it I heard how bad my voice really is.....

There is a lot of makeup subscription boxes/bags out there: glam bag, glossy box, the one from Etude House (that I can't remember the name of) etc. But this is the first one I have heard of that is just nail related, so I wanted to try it for a few months. Nail art is a growing trend, you see more and more celebs with fancy nail art and if you google nail art you'll find thousands of pictures and hundreds of blogs. So for all of those who is new to nail art or want to try something new the idea behind this bag is amazing.
Nail art society's bag  will each month give you a polish, nail art tools and nail art supplies for $ 9.95. I really like the idea of this so was going crazy waiting to get my first box.

What I got:
Silver sequence makeup bag
LVX polish in Legendaire 17 ml (Majestic gray)
Bag of Feathers
Little roll of silver striping tape
Container of Sequence

I haven't heard of LVX before but they say their polishes are 5 free, Vegan and cruelty free. Yay, thumbs up for that. If you go to their site www.shoplvx.com you can see they that a polish is priced for $16.00. And it claims to be long lasting and chip resistant, so can't wait to try it out. It's a pretty color and don't have anything like it in my collection.
I have used striping tape and sequence on my nails before, but the feathers will be a first for me. I have seen others cut out parts of feathers and placed them on their nails and sealed it in with a couple of coats of topcoat. And I have wanted to try it on my nails, and now I can. YAY.

One coat.

Just something simple I did with the polish, sequence and some rhinestones.

So what is my thoughts of this bag? I have to say I am very happy with it, and I will be trying it for a few more months. This post isn't a free product for my review post thing, I am paying for this my self and my opinion  of this bag is and will be honest and my own. Now off to nurse my cold with some hot chocolate or tea. Thanks for popping in to read my little blog.
